I was happy that Wu Meiming was finally accepted in our clan and by that Wei was a step closer to his redemption of heart, but hearing him play Chenqing right now, at this hour, concerns me a bit. Taking a seat below the Peony Tree, I wait for him. He did say there was something he had to reveal. Closing my eyes I begin to meditate when moments later I hear the ruffles of leaves and I smile. He's above me sitting on the branches. Opening my eyes, I gaze into his eyes and smile when he showers those petals on me.
"You're being romantic" I smile and he clutches his heart "Lan er-gege, don't smile too often for you shall hurt this poor soul" he teases and jumps down from the tree. His smile is mischevious but his eyes are cautious.
"What's wrong Wei Ying?" I am startled by the fact that he sighs and opens up "Lan Zhan, I need to discuss with you all and the matter is not something that can be merely discarded" he shows me the spirit trapping pouch "could you bring ZewuJun and Elder Lan Qiren to the watch tower?".
I nod and with a kiss to my lips he smiles "I'll be waiting".

"You wanted to see us, Master Wei Wuxian?" Brother enquires and uncle though was quite, he was equally disturbed as Wei nodded carefully.
"Sorry to disturb you at this hour but I could not wait any longer" he took out those spirit trapping pouches "as you're all aware for past one month I was out there trying to hunt down rouge corpses because I believed that the resentment was way too dark" he pauses and uncle probes "You found something treacherous?"
"Yes" he removed pouches as they floated mid air above the incantation he drew on the ground. Slowly five parts of the souls were drawn out from the pouches and appeared to be extremely dark.
"What's this Wei Ying?" My voice sounded calm but I knew my heart wasn't. This was far beyond something we could comprehend and I was right.
"These are the souls I have managed to trap from my fights with those corpses. ZewuJun I am sure you're all aware how a corpse is made. They die and if they have any resentment they turn into a resentful corpse".
"Yes you're right but what does that have to do with these spirits?" Brother enquires and Wei's gaze meets mine before he answers the question "ZewuJun, these people were turned whilst they were alive. They were human beings. They were not dead when turned".
His words were absolutely terrifying. Turning someone into a corpse while they were humans was blasphemy and absolutely unheard off.
"Is that even possible?" This was asked by uncle and Wei answered a moment later "It's unheard off but yes one can perform such an act".
