"I am so thankful to everyone present here, that you could make your presence felt at the annual banquet of the LanLing Jin Sect. Cheers" Jin Guang Yao raises his glass and the rest follow through.
"Sect Leader Jin, we are all so happy under your reign. The watch towers that are situated in every province has helped innumerable number of people" one of the sect leader praises Jin Guang Yao.
Such banquets always brings back painful memories for me. There was a time when they were all praising the Yiling Patriarch and then soon turned the tables only to kill him.
Farce and untrustworthy.
"Sect Leader Jin Guang Yao" one of the cultivator proposes "it has been quite a while since we had a grand celebration, how about we rectify that situation?"
"What do you propose, chief Yao?" Jin Guang Yao smiles as usual.
"Marriage" Chief Yao boasts with pride "it has been decades where such an extravagant festivity has not been celebrated"
The murmurs of agreement envelopes the banquet and eagerness could be the epitome of gossip amongst these people.

Suddenly a feeling of dread settles within me.
"ZewuJun" chief Yao addresses my brother "we understand that managing an entire Sect could be quite burdensome and thus you might not find nor have inclination to get married at this moment, but" he pauses and his eyes seek mine "Hanguang-Jun here is an eligible bachelor and I must say, he has come of age where he needs to get married and have children" he looks around and jokes "some of my kids have children who are few years younger to Hanguang-Jun" and a chorus of laughter rings around.
"Hanguang-Jun" another chief calls out "do pay heed to Chief Yao, he speaks the truth. How long do you plan on being a bachelor? You need to get married soon." Turning to look at my brother, the chief looks ecstatic "ZewuJun, if you wish, I could introduce my daughter to Hanguang-Jun..." but before he could complete, I get up and walk towards the exit.
"Hanguang-Jun?" Chief Yao looks perplexed "where are you going? We're talking about your marriage. You could get married to..." I turn around with a glare and he stops mid - sentence.
With that one glare, silence engulfs the room. Their selfish concern is stifling. Leaving the bogus mentality behind, I walk away.
