Tonight the moon appears to be melancholic as I wait to hear from Wangji. This morning he left Gusu with hope to find some remnants of Young Master Wei.
He who gave up on everything, left a soul so wanting.
Seeing Wangji after all these years, brought back memories of him when he was young. After loosing their mother, Wangji went into a shell. I am afraid, this time there would be no redemption for him.
Suddenly there is a loud knock at my door "ZewuJun, help", opening the door in haste, I find a disciple with wide eyes "ZewuJun, help, it's Hanguang-Jun" he points towards the direction of Lan kitchen and without another word, I follow him.
"Wait here" I order and sprint inside only to face a horrifying scene which no brother should ever witness.
Right in front of my eyes, kneeling on the floor is my brother, my baby brother, branding himself with the Wen Clan Iron rod. Charhared right above his heart but beyond the abhorrence is the smile on his face.
His face looks peaceful as though he enjoys this act of sadism.
The raising anguish within me is unable to bear it a moment longer, I quickly kneel in front of him and pull the rod away. He opens his eyes and the emotions in there are impalpable.
Unable to bear his own weight, he falls forward and I quickly embrace him with my soul and just before closing his eyes, he whispers "Brother, I am with him now".
"Wangji" my coarse voice calls his name, but he is as cold as he can be.
No. No. No.
Picking him up, I sprint out of the kitchen and order the disciple waiting outside "Get me the box of medicine and bring them to Jingshi" not waiting for anyone, I carry Wangji back.
