"We meet again, Hanguang-Jun" the spirit bows and I bow back with utmost respect "it's been quite a while" she smiles kindly "you wish to find him" and I nod.
Closing her eyes she is quiet. An aura glows from within her as Wangji continues to play in the background.
Her gaze finds me and they're compassionate "he's there, waiting for you" her voice is soft.
"Where?" I enquire and she smiles elegantly "where you have always parted. He's waiting for you there with unconditional hope."

"Hanguang-Jun, with your permission could I talk to you today? I am unsure if after this we would ever have a chance" her smile is heavenly and I bow again.
"Hanguang-Jun, I have known you as a child. Whenever you wished or hoped to find the whereabouts of Young Master, you've always sought my help but, there is something that I have been hiding from you" she looks at me with those inconsolable eyes "I have known that child too."

"Years ago there was a beautiful family. They had everything. Love. Devotion. Pure heart. The couple were even blessed with a sweet child whom they loved abundantly. One day, the parents went on a night hunt and promised their son that they would be back before he woke up. He did. They couldn't. My heartbeat falters as I try to apprehend the truth that had just been revealed.
"I am Cangse Sanren, Wei Ying is my son. After what happened to me and his father, he quickly passed on to the immortal realm but I was trapped in purgatory. I was neither a good spirit nor was I resentful one. I knew if someone could help me, it had to be Baoshan Sanren. With her help and powers I became a kindred spirit. It was when I was passing by did I hear your mournful music which got me to meet you. I was moved by your heart and perseverance. I realised maybe this was my unfinished business. To unite you with your soul. It was when you asked me to find that young boy, did I realise the child in front of me was the fated one to my Wei Ying." Her eyes glaze "I swore to protect you for my son. If I couldn't protect him, the least I could do was to protect you".
"Wangji" a lone tear falls from her eyes "all these years I have seen your devotion to my Wei Ying. Your resilience to overcome any pain and anguish that was laid down on your path and yet love him and only him" she slowly walks forward and cups my face, her hands were crystal blue "I lost one son but I did gain another, my sweet child. I have seen you cry, I have seen you worried and I have seen you being shattered but never once did you loose hope. When he left this realm, I tired to find out where he could be and everyday giving you the same answer it pained me but the day you told me he's back, I was so ecstatic" she closes her eyes and when she opens them again, they're are filled with peace. Finality.
"It pains me to say this but, don't ever call me again. I want you and Wei Ying to lead a happy and prosperous life. You always have my blessings. That kid is precious to me and so are you. I have come to love you like a mother would. I am leaving, knowing that from here on, you would be together and so even if we never get to see eachother, we'll be alright. I'll be at peace and you will be with Wei Ying. Love him and love yourself. You both deserve that".
I bow.
Her smile is the last part to fade and I knew it was the truth. I would never see her again. I wish I would never play the Inquiry too. Playing Inquiry meant to be away from Wei and I never wanted that. Not now. Not for an eternity.
