Lan Zhan's Untamed (Lan Zhan x Wei Wuxian)

My loyalty lies with him

As we enter the LanLing Jin Sect, brother turns towards me but when his gaze lands on the curious Wei Ying behind us, he smiles warmly.

"Wangji, I must remind you, Mo Xuan Yu and the rest of the Lan Lingjin clan do not have good relations with eachother. A Yao did inform me about certain happening of some events but not wanting to elaborate much on it right now, please ask Wei Ying to be careful" brother's concern is etched in his voice and I reminisce last night's conversation.

Nodding, we continue towards our destination to the Glamour Hall, when our Sect's name was announced "Gusu Lan Sect, please enter". Walking up the stairs, I take in the grandeur that is presented to the world at large. Jin Guang Yao and Jin Zixuan murals were painted at the entrance of the Koi Tower depicting their valour and status in the society.

Jin Guang Yao was revered for he was now the chief cultivator and all the prominent sects were under his reign.

"Lan Zhan" Wei whispers, walking next to me, shoulder to shoulder, his eyes are wide "everything's changed. The last time I had graced this place, it was grand, but now it seems even grander" he shivers and I look at him. The memories are not worth remembering Wei Ying.

Greeted by the Lan Lingjin Sect, their eyes widen in surprise when they see Wei Ying or rather Mo Xuan Yu entering the Glamour Hall. Whispers resonates around and I feel Wei Ying shift a bit closer to me.

Just when I am about to subtly help Wei, we hear him. I wish he would just ignore Wei and walk away, but that does not seem to be the case.

"Since when ZewuJun and Hanguang-Jun have measly little cultivators accompanying them?" Jiang Cheng walks towards us but his sneer was directed at Wei Ying.

"ZewuJun" he bows, looking at coldly me he nods "Hanguang-Jun".

Under my glare, he does not dare to prod me further and rather the situation is dissipated when Jin Guang Yao makes his presence known.

"Brother" he greets and then turns towards me and bows "I am sorry, I was unaware that Wangji would be joining us today. I'll make sure everything this set according to your liking" his gaze shifts towards Wei Ying and I closely observe his expression. I must say, he has always been good at hiding his intention.

"I see you have brought along a guest too" he smiles "please be seated, I shall arrange for everything" he is about to leave when Jin Ling joins us.

Words transpire between Jiang Cheng and his nephew but my eyes are only for my Wei Ying. Watching the pain etch on his face as he listenes to their conversation, it dons on me that he missed everything that was dear to him.

13 years ago, we all fought a battle which was not needed. Under the disguise of fighting for the right, there were no winners. In that process, my Wei Ying lost a lot, above all he lost his life.

As the crowd disperses, he quietly takes a seat beside mine, with a wink he consumes the food and liquor that was placed in front of him. A fair maiden was serving him food and when he smiled at her, she blushed and giggled.

"Lan Zhan" he turns to look at me "is it just me or are everyone really not fond of this Mo Xuan Yu? It's making me curious, what did this guy exactly do? Did he go about and declare his love for Jin Guang Yao?" He laughs and I look at him.

How could I give you any information when I myself wasn't much aware of this situation.

Soon an announcement was made, welcoming Jin Guang Yao and his wife, the mistress of the Lan Lingjin Sect, Qin Su.
