Hey, I'm Madison Aden, looks like you found my journal from when I was a kid. Everything in there helped me become who am today, with the contribution of my best friend Jayden Morgan, who was able to let me see life from a new light.
Hear our backs...
Jayden was in central park sitting in front of the person who was uncontrollably changing his life.
"Smile." They said.
Jayden complied. He put on his best smile, even if it didn't quite reach his eyes.
He was hurting. He was frustrated. The constant thoughts roaming his mind had to do with Madison. If she was okay. If she hated his guts. If she moved on.
"You make it too obvious that you're thinking about her." The person said again.
"I am," Jayden said frustrated.
Laughter erupted from this person, "suck it up. Lose the attitude, and maybe we'll get along.
Enraged Jayden yelled, " I don't want to get along with you. I want my life back. Where I never met you! Where I had my best friend! And where I was happy!"
"Awe you're not happy?" They questioned.
Jayden replied with silence.
"Don't be like that Jayden. You will be happy soon."
Jayden stood up sharply, causing a few eyes to draw towards him.
"Does this make you happy? Does knowing my best friend is drowning clench your thirst?" Jayden whispered, trying not to cause a scene.
"Ex best friend." Was all they said.
"I'll get her back," Jayden said confidently.
"I don't think you remember our deal, Morgan. May I remind you that I have a lot more power in this situation than you do. So stand down." They ordered.
They were right. Jayden had no power in this situation. He had to keep Madison safe. If that meant distance, he had to make it work. He had to calm down. He had no choice but to follow every order given to him.
Or Madison would be on the receiving end of those consequences.
Jayden let out a breath and sat once again on the bench. He straightened his posture. And smiled.
"Are you happy now?" He sincerely asked.
"Yes. Yes, I am." They smirked.
"Jayden lets go. I know you've been dying to catch that thing, I'll throw you a couple."
Jayden's eyes lit up at the suggestion and he hated it.
"Don't think just because I'm not facing you that I don't know you lit up at the fact that we are doing an activity related to football."
Jayden quietly trailed behind this person until they made it to the field. It pained him to know that they were very skilled at handling a football.
He needed to start planning how to get out of this now.
It was like he was bonded to an unbreakable vow.
He needed to win Madison over again. It may take a while. Jayden never gives up.
