It's not what it looks like!
Jayden has been living with me for a week and we are very uncoordinated.
For the first two days, I forgot Jay was here. I usually lack clothes when I am at home. A nice pair of ball shorts and a sports bra are my go-to. On day one I walked into the kitchen and a plate was broken. Then on the second day, I walked into the main bathroom. I didn't know Jay was there. I kept all my extra supplies in that bathroom. I needed shampoo. Luckily he had a towel on.
I still curse myself for not fixing the shower-head in the bathroom connected to his room earlier. That day I made sure I fixed it and that I always had an appropriate fit of clothes on. I don't need any more of those moments.
Jay and I had to work out our busy schedules. He is almost always at Korra for 10 hours out of the day. I have been given a lot of new clients. A real issue we have is our alarms.
Jayden's alarm is the loudest radar I've ever heard. Then my alarm is the flight of the bumblebees played on the trumpet.
I know I'm weird...Moving on...
I specifically put Jayden in the bedroom farthest away from my own so my friends wouldn't have a clue that he's here. Yet every morning we hear each other's alarms. It makes no sense at all.
Today is the first day Jay doesn't have to go to Korra and I have no clients to meet with since I am on vacation. The catch is he is studying and I have a ton of paperwork, that I was supposed to do days ago.
I stay in my office and Jay is in his room. I am not expecting any guests and I'm pretty sure Diamond is working on a case and Raven probably has some type of work to do. Diamond is very intelligent. She is a forensic scientist.
I have always despised math and science in school. But social science got a hold on me.
I have been filing for a long time. And everything being this quiet is making me feel some type of way. I usually blast music but I don't want to disturb my housemate.
I'm done for the day, I've been in my office for hours.
I walk down the hall and barge into Jay's room. He is on his Macbook. He looks so focused I do not think he has noticed that I have walked in. I pat his head, and he looks up.
"Yes?" He questions me.
"You've been on your laptop for six hours."
"Well, you have been filing for the past six hours" He counters.
He turns in the office chair and I grab his hands to make him stand up. "Yet, I came here for you to take a break. Your too young to be a workaholic," I say taking a seat in his chair.
Jayden wraps his arms around my head, he places his head on top of my own. It was a weird sensation so I pull his head down to rest on my shoulder.
"I know what you're doing and it's not going to work," I tell him.
His phone starts to ring.
"I have no idea what you are talking about." He says extending his hands to the laptop.
He's trying to continue to work on the laptop.
I cover his eyes, "Well are you going to answer your phone?" I ask him.
"I will get back to them later." He says.
"Jayden stop it." I use one hand to turn his head, so now his head is nestled in the crook of my neck. I use my other hand to fight his hands on the laptop.
