Forgiven?

Jayden's POV

I have two hours. I had no idea what she was talking about.

Her words kept playing in my head, "There's only one way I'll forgive you. You already know what it is. I'll give you two hours to give it to me, it'll be a nice addition to my collection."

What did that mean?

'Maybe I should write this down to see it visually', I thought to myself.

I got out my whiteboard and wrote the key things down.

I know what is it...

Two hours...

Addition to the collection...

Okay. If I have two hours, I could either get this item in two hours. Or It'll take me two hours maximum to figure it out.

Madison is always very careful with her words. The collection seemed like a big one.

I listed the things that Madison collects, to sort out what it might be.

'Coins'... Maybe she wants my fifty-cent coin.

'Candy wrappers'... I am not a big candy person, not that one.

'Leaves?' I do not have leaves. That was silly.

'Bottle caps?' No way. She wouldn't actually take my 1950's coke bottle cap. Would she?

I got nothing. The coin was the only way to go. I go through my drawer and find the coin in its seal. I stepped out my door and walked right into James. We both fell.

"You alright?" I asked while giving him, a hand.

"Yep, I came up here to ask you where you put Aden's backpack. It's been like an hour and forty-five minutes man. Have you got what she wants?"

An hour forty-five? Time couldn't have gone by that quickly.

"Yeah I got the coin, I was headed down right now. Her bag is in the kitchen."

"Coin? What coin?" He looked at me like I was an idiot.

"Doesn't she want the fifty-cent coin?"

"No you twat!" James whacked me upside the head.

"Ow!" I glared at him.

"You are an idiot Jayden. Why would you think she'd want a coin?"

"James you know she collects them."

"I'm going to help you out because if she walks out that door today and decides not to come back, I will never hear the end of it from you." He ran his hair through his dirty blonde hair.

"You didn't give it to her last August. Looks like you have about ten minutes before times up." He patted me on the back and walked away.

"What didn't I give her? August?" I said to myself.

August was my hint, that was obvious. Madison and I always hang out the most during august. That month marks the month we met.

With that. I knew exactly what she wanted. I also knew I had to get back at Mads for putting me in this position.

I went back into my room, walked into my closet and used my step stool to grab a box on a very tall shelf. I grabbed the super small item and placed it in another box. The box was about the size for a pendant.

I placed it in my pocket and ran downstairs. 60 seconds left. Time to put my acting skills to use.

"Wait! Don't-Leave!" I yelled as Madison stood at the door with her shoes and knapsack on.
