Hospitals and CAS

Third-Person POV

Jane and Greg Thompson lived next door to Mr. Kyle Xavier for about six months.

They deeply despised that man. He was newly divorced and he was a drunk who cleaned up nicely.

The Thompson's always thought Kyle was a strange man. He always acted too perfect.

Then his son. He had broken eyes that hid with fear.

Jane and Greg could hear the screams and smashes. They have called the Children's Aid Society multiple times, on various occasions. Although Kyle Xavier cleans up nicely.

This time the elderly couple promised each other that when they hear one sound they'll call the police. There was something wrong. CAS wasn't going to cut it this time.

They heard something like glass smash against the wall and that was it, they picked up the phone and dialled 911.

They had an old tape recorder. They turned it on and set it against the wall to capture the shrieks of the young boy.

Jane was nearly about to have a panic attack. The sounds were so horrid. It was like nothing she had ever heard before. It lasted for an hour. Before silence. Everything just stopped.

Meanwhile in the condo next door.

James passed out due to the excessive amount of pain he was enduring.

"Perfect you just had to bleed all over my good flooring," Kyle muttered. Leaving James' body on his bedroom floor.

As Kyle cleaned there was a knock on the door. He froze. Who could be at the door? He wondered.

He walked over to the door and two male police officers were behind it.

One of them spoke up, "are you, Kyle Xavier?"

"Yes." He replied.

"We were called here because of a noise complaint. Are there any other people at home?" The other asked.

"Who called?" Kyle asked. He already knew it was his neighbour.

"We are not to disclose that information, Mr. Xavier."

"Please call me Kyle."

"Kyle do you have a child or children with you?"

"No. Not right now."

He was composed. Yet beads of sweat roll down his temple.

"Then, whose shoes, backpack and coat are those?"

"Officers I don't think you have any reason to be here." Kyle was getting nervous. It was evident on his face. He was shaking uncontrollably.

The officers look past Mr. Xavier and see a trail of blood on the floor.

One of them push past Kyle and the other restrained him.

"Hey, you have no warrant to be in my home!" He yelled trying to fight off the officer holding him down.

Although, officers did have a right to intrude a home if they believe that someone is at risk or in danger.

Officer Byers put handcuffs of Kyle. While Officer Paris followed the blood.

"Byers! There's a kid back here! Call an ambulance now! He's losing blood!"

The ambulance came in three minutes flat. They rushed James' body to the hospital.
