Now I'm attached!

"Please tell me you were already awake?"

I am in the middle of doing my laundry and I got a call from Jay.

"Yes I am awake, I am folding clothes," I tell him.

"Okay good, do you remember our short conversation last night before you fell actually asleep?" He asks sheepishly.

I do remember every moment of it. But I was delusional...

"Yes... though I was delusional."

"So, you didn't mean it?"

"No, I did. I just didn't think I was going to say it out loud..." I say trailing off near the end.

"Madison, what did you initially think of the idea?"

"Jayden what are your intentions with me?" I rush out.

He laughs, "Mads I thought I made my intentions very clear in our talk at KorraSide yesterday."

Well, maybe I want him to clarify himself.

Yesterday he said, 'If I haven't said it before, I'll say it now. You will be mine.'

What is that even supposed to mean?

"Sir you were trying to intimidate me!" I let my confusion get the best of me.

"Okay, I'll put it in very simple words, bonded legally, spiritually and emotionally. Now that I've got you I don't plan on letting you go."

That moment you zone out when someone says something important...

Just kidding.

My mom always used to tell me that things change and things are always different when you start living with someone. I explained the concept to Jayden.

"Are you working this week?" He asks.

"I'm on vacation."

"Soooo, What's the verdict?"

"Jayden we can barely manage together by ourselves. And what makes you think I want you in my home."

I can feel a sly moment about to happen.

"What do you mean. I am a quiet guy. You are so lonely in that large house of yours which has five empty bedrooms that you are not occupying. I can keep you company. I am great company. I am clean."

I know he's not wrong about being clean and somewhat quiet.

"I am not lonely! And you annoy me. What about my girls?"

"Arent they only ever in your kitchen, dining room, or your bedroom? Why don't you put me in the farthest room from yours." I put my phone on speaker. My laundry isn't going to do itself.

"That's not a bad idea. I am not opposed to you being here but we have to be careful."

"Well, are you busy today?" What is he getting at?

"No?"

"Let me move in today. I don't have a lot of stuff. It'll only be like two cars."

I zoned in and out of what he was saying but if he didn't stop talking I probably would've hung up.

"Whatever I'll be there at 10," I tell him and hang up.

I guess I'm getting a new housemate.

I am already starting to regret this. The only person who is undoubtedly happy about this is James.
