Timing is everything
Madison's POV
"Oh gosh, I did it. I didn't mean to. It just happened."
I answered my phone a couple of seconds ago and Jayden was panicking over something.
"Jayden what happened?" Whatever happened was seriously bothering him.
"Eyes. I did the eye thing." He whispered.
Jayden is poor at controlling his emotions. When he gets angry, like bull crazy angry. His eyes dilate, they get dangerously dark in colour and the whites of his eyes turn red. He heaves air and he moves slowly but viscously. He was like another creature in such a state.
"Okay, Jayden just breathe and explain what happened from the beginning." This was going to be interesting.
Jayden's POV
Megan is a strange girl. I like that she has the element of surprise in her.
I hate her attitude. It's dreadful. She was either all over my and affectionate or cold and distant.
She was usually cold and distant due to my rejective nature from her affection.
Her pet names made me cringe. I don't show her any affection. I don't have a reason why.
I can't kiss her, it makes me feel uncomfortable. Her dry lips are another thing, gives me chills.
Although Meg is confident, she is independent. She is talented with a football, and she knows what she wants. Plus she has interesting green eyes.
Megan had been avoiding me for days at a time and her reasons were invalid.
I respected her as an individual and gave her her space.
Then things got worse, she started missing dates. Even the ones she planned. Forgetting was not an excuse when she did so much for us to be together.
I tried talking to Blake. He was my closest friend at school. He was a jerk sometimes, but he did know a lot about females of the species.
He told me that I was being clingy. I disagreed with that.
I decided to get to the bottom of everything.
I went to Meg's place, I wanted to surprise her. Her sister answered the door. She said that Meg wasn't home. Too bad I was texting Megan before I arrived and she said she was completing her chemistry work.
I walked passed her and headed towards Megan's room.
I opened the door and shock took over my emotions.
Megan and Blake, practically shoving their tongues down each other's throats. Blake also didn't have a shirt on.
"So this is what you meant by chemistry work?" I said.
"Jayden this is not what it looks like," they said in unison.
I laughed, "classic line when people are caught in the act. Never thought the girl who worked so hard to be mine would go behind my back with the closest friend I made since I moved out here."
"Jayden-" he tried to talk to me.
I walked towards him, "no! You do not get to talk to me." I turned to face Megan, "tell me why?"
"You are so formal Jayden. You barely hug me, let alone kiss me or make me feel wanted." She said.
I took a seat.
"You wanted action so you chose him." I clutched onto the desk chair so hard my knuckle was white. I closed my eyes trying to think straight.
"Bro calm down it's not a big deal!" Blake erupted, "if you weren't such a b*tch maybe your girl wouldn't have thought of finding action somewhere else.
I opened my eyes and let go of the chair. Megan's eyes widened, as she gasped. Anger took over my emotions. I walked up to Blake and asked him to repeat himself. Just as he opened his mouth, I clocked him in the side of the head.
Megan let out a shriek. And Blake pushed me back. I had never fought him before. It was a thrilling experience.
"Your dead Morgan!" He lunged at me.
"Bring it on Sinclair!"
Megan's pitiful screams for us to stop didn't see fit to me. Then Brandon, Megan's brother who was in town pulled me away from Blake.
"HEY! You get your shirt get out of here and never touch my baby sister. And you go home!"
Blake did as he was told. Brandon was an intimidating man.
Megan was in tears and she begged for me to hear her out. I didn't want to so I told her that we were done. It was as simple as that.
Timing was everything at that moment. I could've chosen any day to check on Megan. It could've been at any time.
Now I knew where her loyalties lie. They surely weren't with me.
Madison's POV
After Jayden finished explaining, I really didn't care.
I have given him so many reasons in the past to prove that she was a psycho.
I wasn't surprised that it didn't work out.
"So what are you going to do about Blake," I asked. I never liked Blake.
"Nothing." Jayden laughed.
I was confused, "what do you mean nothing?"
"He told the whole school that he stole my girlfriend and he was blacklisted. Making myself more popular."
"So what you're trying to say is that all the girls pitied you so they went off on Blake." I rolled my eyes.
"Yes." He said. Jayden's exaggerations were weak.
