The Storm

August 28, 2019 (Present day)

"You are crazy, you act like you are obsessed with me, and I cannot do this anymore. We can't keep causing each other pain from our stupid toxic relationship. Whatever is going on has got to stop. I can't take it anymore," I screamed as the tears streamed down my face.

Okay, can we PAUSE? We need to go back, way WAYYYYYYY back to 2008.

Okay, so where were we, oh September 19, 2008.

Okay, let me introduce myself. I'm Madison Aden. I am 8 years old. And I am in Mrs. Gardner's third-grade class.

It was a usual day, a perfect day. I sat beside my best friend James, and across from me was my other best friend, Emily. We were talking about God knows what, we were only 8. A couple of minutes later. My whole life came crashing down. We got another new kid.

First James, I love him, of course, but now another dingo. He was walking in the class like he owns the place, with stupidly blue eyes and a leather jacket. Like c'mon seriously? So just my luck that he sits right beside me too.

James somehow knows him, so I thought he can't be that bad. I thought wrong. And I learned that pretty quickly.

His name. Jayden. Everyone loved him, and I didn't know what was so special about him.

It was recess, and my class played soccer at recess. He stole my position as goalkeeper. Then he stole my striker position. Recess was over, and it was lunchtime.

I walk into the class, and he's sitting in MY seat, talking with MY friends and guess what. HE WAS EATING MY LUNCH! Can you believe this kid?

This went on for a week. I had no lunch for a week. I didn't care if I was a snitch, I was hungry, and no one, NO ONE eats MY FOOD.

Guess what? He gets away with everything too. He never gets in trouble. He never gets yelled at or punished. He always tried to talk to me like we were friends or something.

All my friends ever did was talk about him. Especially, Emily, she had the biggest crush of the century. This guy had brainwashed all my friends.

After a month... I guess I was too.

That's also when I realized that the sweet and kind boy I met in the park two months earlier was this guy I thought was a total jerk.
