Pain
James' POV
I saw the look in his eyes. Dilated, dark shade, he was practically shaking with anger.
... he lunged at me.
We both went flying across the lunchroom.
Jayden knows that I'm stronger than him. His punches were weak.
I laughed at him.
"Grow up Jayden, she doesn't like you! She pities you." I said as people crowded around us.
He hit me square in my lip. He drew blood. It was war.
I spat blood in his face and rolled us over.
"You aren't perfect. Stop acting like you are!" I swung my knee into the side of his body.
He huffed out as I connected.
No one ever sees Jayden upset, or angry. The little teacher's pet is the ultimate suck up without trying. Straight A's. The adoration from everyone. Makes my blood boil.
"James take it back!" He yelled in my face which made me smile more.
I knocked him straight in the eye. I knew he'll bruise. "She's mine!" I shouted blood spewing on Jayden's face as we were pulled away from each other.
I knew Madison wasn't mine, she's not an object or a prize to be won. I just enjoyed seeing Jayden worked up over the girl who was too scared to fall for him.
I saw him struggling to get out of the teacher's grip. He was livid. My smile was wicked but I couldn't help it.
"Everyone back to their classrooms. Kyle James Xavier and Jayden William Morgan to the principal's office...now!" The secretary's voice screeched over the PA system.
We were escorted to the principal's office by the teachers who stopped the fight, after we got cleaned up.
Both of them basically had to carry Jayden there because he still wanted to rip my head off.
He tried taunting me. It was funny.
"James I am going to end you. You'll never see her again I'll make sure of it!" Like he was going to stop me from seeing my best friend.
Jayden was put in the quiet room. He seriously needed to calm down.
I, on the other hand, spoke with the principal first.
"Sir-" he cut me off immediately.
"James I have already seen the surveillance video and I know Jayden initiated the fight." He said.
I frowned. I had never been sent to the principal's office before, and that was how it ends?
Not even a minute goes by and Jayden slowly walks into the room holding ice around his swollen eye.
"Jayden please sit." The principal ordered.
Jayden complied and sat beside me.
"Jayden would you like to tell me why you began a fight between James and yourself?" He pointed between the both of us.
"I will talk when he's far away from me." Jayden sneered.
He was still angry. His fists were clutching the chair uncontrollably.
"I'll just step out," I said.
I didn't care what Jayden had to say. I am no liar. I would've told the old man myself.
