Capture the moment

It's the middle of the afternoon and I'm having some alone time.

It didn't last long.

"Madison have you- uhh what are you doing?" Jayden barges into my room.

This is why we knock people!

"I'm playing dress-up what does it look like I'm doing?" I say in a monotone voice.

"That's exactly what it looks like you're doing..."

I rub my temples, "what do you want?"

"Forget what I was talking about before... let's see who has a better fashion sense." He suggests.

Oh, it is on.

"Semi-formal five minutes go!" I say.

Jayden runs back to his room.

Damn. I said semi-formal and I don't even have an idea of what to put on.

Well, I'm already rocking a short wavy wig.

I grab a shortish pink dress that is like skin-tight down to my waist then poofs out above my knees.

I also add some thick heeled suede black pumps.

Five minutes are up. I have a mirror wall in my hall so I meet Jayden out there.

"Look at you!" He hypes me up.

I nudge him lightly. "I guess great minds think alike."

Jay is wearing a baby pink button-up and black slacks, along with his black cross-chain and shiny dress shoes.

He took my advice and finally got a haircut. Although he is rocking his natural curls.

"Though, I think you won this one," I tell him.

"How about a casual beach day?" He says and we runoff.

I can't even remember the last time I went to the beach. It was probably with Diamond when we were like 20.

After digging through my wardrobe I found a black one-piece with the back out. I throw on a floppy sun hat and white crochet off the shoulder shirt. It is so long that it covers up to my knees. We cannot forget about flat gladiators.

When I walk into the hall, Jay beat me there. "You are unbelievable." I laugh at his simple fit.

"Okay, I'll admit you win this one." He tells me.

Jayden is wearing a white cotton vest (tank top) with beige cargo shorts. He gets bonus points for his sunglasses though.

"Yep, I definitely won." I chime.

"Come on miss athlete. Three minutes, let's go."

Oh wow. Athlete... there's too many to choose from. I have to choose my 3-pitch uniform. My high school colours were burgundy yellow and white. I got on my indoor cleats for a bonus. I got the cap, glove and all.

I was done first this time. Soon Jay makes his appearance.

"Looking good firebird."

He had on his football uniform with the helmet by his side.

He puts an elbow on my shoulder. "Maybe we should've done sports instead of health." He jokes.

"Maybe you, but I'm not cut out for that life. You know I don't like attention like that." I say looking him up and down.

He smirks, "like something you see?"

"When you're not home I'm stealing your jersey and don't expect to get it back," I say truthfully.
