Hey, I'm Madison Aden, looks like you found my journal from when I was a kid. Everything in there helped me become who am today, with the contribution of my best friend Jayden Morgan, who was able to let me see life from a new light.
Hear our backs...
You may look at me and say that I look like I am a pretty average person.
You may look at my best friend and say that he looks like a pretty average person.
Jayden is far from average.
He is that 1 in 68.
He is in that 3 to 5 percent.
He is in that 45 to 60 percent.
Jayden may look like a normal kid. He may sort of act like a typical kid. But he has special abilities.
Jayden's autism spectrum disorder (ASD) makes him far more intelligent than anyone I know.
Jayden's attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) makes him the most active person I know.
Jayden's obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) makes him the most organized person I know.
From a young age, I never knew what any one of these conditions were. Beth was the one who told me.
She said, "Jayden is a little different than the kids you know, Madison."
As an eight-year-old, I looked Beth in the eyes and laughed at her saying, "He's just like everyone else to me, no matter if he has... uhh all those big words you said."
Beth always used the term disability. I never liked it. A disability is something that limits another from doing something. Jayden never had disabilities. In my eyes, he had special abilities.
He thought in ways I have never thought of, he sees the world in a different light, and I love getting to know his world.
His abilities answered a lot of forgotten questions, like how he never got in trouble in the third grade. It was like a small pass for him. It answered why he received a lot more and different work than the rest of the class too. It explains the amount of medication in his house. It explained his relationship with his mom a lot.
Jayden has always been formal. A lot of people think it's weird that he calls his mom by her first name the majority of the time, but that's just another characteristic that belongs to him.
There was just one question that was left unanswered. I don't know how many times I've asked. This question was never answered.
Why can't anyone take pictures of Jayden? He used to be a model when he was under the age of seven. What happened.
Jay would only tell me that he is within the 7-8 out of 100 people.
What did that mean?
I let it go and respected his boundaries pictures and cameras were a no-no. Beth always got away with sneaking in pictures, but I didn't take that chance.
My best friend has some special abilities. He wouldn't be him without them.
