Not so movie day
It was Mid-July. I was holding on I guess. Darkness overwhelmed me but I powered through.
Tj Invited me to his house for a movie day.
I never say no for an opportunity to escape my house. My house carries my sour mood, its also been a while since I've gotten out.
My current wardrobe consisted of oversized hoodies, sweats and shorts.
For this movie day, I chose to wear a huge baggy hoodie and basketball shorts.
I have noticed a reoccurring trend when it came to going over to Tj's place. I usually ride my bike there and back, although whenever I choose to walk there, his parents insist on driving me home. It's a sweet gesture but I do like walking alone in the dark. It lets me think better.
I purposely took my bike to his place. When I got there, there was chaos. People all over the place. Talking, screaming, laughing. The tv was on but no movie was playing... it was Bleach. I am the most indecisive person when it comes to choosing movies. So you best know that the first thing that came out of my mouth was Harry Potter.
Eventually, we settled for the horror genre. Although we couldn't exactly choose a movie too scary or wildly inappropriate.
I think we were all a little high on sugar and sodium because one Matt was throwing a yoga ball at people. Then Kurt was hitting the punching ball like there was no tomorrow. He was going so fast it hit him in the face. Kayce was screaming because she missed a scene on the tv. Tj was God knows where and his little brother Aaro, was on the floor probably hiding from Matt. Parker was acting sick as usual.
Kameron was pretending his ears were bleeding because the anime playing on the television was dubbed. Kameron wasn't even supposed to be here. We were bored and went to his house. We went to the park and after talking to some kids we all returned to Tj's place. Those kids at the park were brutal. Kameron's hair was in twists and the kids kept asking him why he looked like xxxtentacion.
The only calm one was Shae, who happened to be on his phone peacefully.
I, on the other hand, was by the piano.
Pianos are my safe space. One day when I am older I will get myself a grand piano.
I can already tell that we are not going to watch a movie. I was okay with it. This chaotic group of kids was a site to see.
Tj's parents ordered pizza for all of us. All I can say is these boys can eat! Kayce passed the opportunity for pizza and left early to go home.
It was just me and the guys. I never had a problem with being the only girl with a group of guys. When Kameron turned 10 I was the only girl he invited to his birthday party.
I was used to hanging out with the guys at school. They weren't anything I couldn't handle.
During our not so movie day, the guys and I decided to put our musicality to the test with some karaoke.
One thing I will never forget is Kameron singing and dancing along to Love Me by Justin Bieber. It was priceless.
Then a whole new world from Aladdin started to play. Okay, not all of the guys are tone-deaf. But these guys are barely singing. They are pronouncing each syllable to each word, they were more talking than singing.
A lot of people don't think I'm a competitive person when they first meet me. But I like playing games. I like playing mind games with people. I love sports, that's where my competitive side shines. Tj has a Wii and Wii U. And the best Wii game out there would have to be Super Smash bros.
We were all getting slapped by Aaro. He was the youngest yet he was smart with his character choice.
Soon enough, it was just me, Tj and Aaro. We settled in front of The television. Aaro was doing as he liked searching for random things on the screen. Tj and I just talked. We did that a lot. We'd talk about Jayden sometimes, but it was more of the silly things than serious things. I liked that I can be free-willed with Tj.
We never had a dull moment. With him, I feel like a kid. I'm always told I act to mature for my age or I take things too seriously. Or that I am overly sarcastic.
Those people just don't know me well enough.
I know who my friends are and our bond won't break anytime soon.
This chapter is dedicated to mister TJKCF himself 🤣🤣🤣
