Hey, I'm Madison Aden, looks like you found my journal from when I was a kid. Everything in there helped me become who am today, with the contribution of my best friend Jayden Morgan, who was able to let me see life from a new light.
Hear our backs...
So, it has been five days since Beth told me I can't talk to or see Jayden.
I respected Beth like she was my own mother. The difference between Beth and My mother is that I could really talk to her. Beth has seen every side of me, the bossy, crazy, funny, broken, defeated me. She has seen it all. My mother has only seen me, happy or irritated...
Back to the point.
Ugh, I'll write later.

I was in my room about an hour ago. I was just throwing a tennis ball at the wall practicing my grip. Then I heard something like hail against my window. I looked out my window to see Jayden throwing pebbles.
I opened the window and whisper shouted at him. "What are you doing here?" It was nearly 11 pm.
"My mother is driving me insane, so I borrowed James' spare rope ladder. Get out here!" He yelled.
"Jayden, be quiet." I went to go outside.
"Took you long enough." he laughed at me.
"Well, you show up uninvited. You are lucky my dad's asleep, my eldest sister Sienna is working, and the other one, Alicia, is at a party or something. My mom will be home soon, though."
"I'm sorry about what happened last week, I know I gave you quite a scare." He said, looking up at the stars.
"Pfff, scared?" I disregarded his comment.
"I hope you know that I am a very light sleeper. Especially when someone says my name. I heard you and Beth talking on the phone."
"Jayden, are you actually okay?" I asked, facing him.
He grabbed my hand and dragged me towards my front yard. He wanted to get a better look at the stars. It was risky, but I didn't question his actions.
"I'm okay Mads. They still haven't figured out what's wrong. It gets frustrating."
"You gotta take day by day, right?"
"Yeah," his voice fell to a whisper.
My teeth began to clatter. It was a chilly October night.
"Will you take my hoodie if I lend it to you?" He asked.
"Jay, we are like forty feet from my front door, and it's not even that cold." My body betrayed me by shivering.
"Don't freak out, okay?" He said.
"Why would I freak-." He took his hoodie off, and he didn't have a shirt on underneath it.
"You are going to get pneumonia." I scolded him.
"Beth made my bedroom 35 degrees. I am burning. Just put it on Madison." I took the hoodie. It was so big it covered my whole body with my knees tucked in.
"Can I tell you a story?" He returned his gaze to the sky.
"Sure," I replied.
"You know, I'm not supposed to be here," he whispered.
Yes, Jayden wasn't supposed to be seeing me at the moment, but this was different. I nudged him to continue.
"I was born premature... by four months. Right after Beth gave birth, I didn't cry, like how babies usually do. I was rushed into surgery because something was wrong with me. I had a head of blonde hair and grey eyes. My skin was super red, and my eyes rolled back. I wasn't supposed to survive. But I did, I was originally supposed to my named Emmett, which means universal, but after everything, my parents were so thankful that they named me Jayden. I was a pretty perfect baby. Till around three years old when I was diagnosed with a bunch of stuff. But I'm still living."
I like that he trusted me with his story. Before I could reply, I saw flashing lights. It was my sister. I dragged Jay inside my house and hid him near the back door.
"Jayden, it is nearly midnight. Beth is going to know you are gone."
Then he gave me a bright smile. "It was worth it. I guess your right. Gotta run," before he took off I grabbed his hand.
"Your hoodie?"
"Keep it. Looks better on you than it does on me." Then he took off.
The shirtless boy running home like there was no tomorrow. I laughed at myself before returning to bed.
Entry# 32
A shirtless return
...Jayden really wasn't supposed to be out... he got super sick, and he thinks what happened was a dream. I think it's better if I let him believe it was a dream...
