Stop playing + 451
Rave's POV
I've been contemplating everything since I found out.
Madison is suspicious and we can't keep lying to her face.
Today is the only day I have to do this. I am going to KorraSide. I'm bringing Diamond with me.
Madison has a few presentations at her old high school. So she should be occupied for the day. Meaning, we won't get caught.
We pick up our volunteer tags and we catch the man we've been looking for in the elevator.
"We need to talk."
"Ladies how about we talk later, meet me behind the hospital at noon. I am very busy and I cannot have distractions today." He says exiting the elevator.
It was eleven in the morning. So we have about an hour to kill.
Diamond and I spent our time helping the nurses in the nursery as much as we could.
Then it was time.
Mony and I walk out back and find the man waiting for us.
I am not going to be calm about this. "You need to stop playing! You guys are going out in two days! We can't keep lying to her! You have to tell her. Or we will."
"I know. I just can't predict her reaction. It's not like I could show up to our date without the colour contacts and with the curly hair." He exaggerates.
"It'll hurt her more to know that she's falling for a lie." Diamond counters.
"How do you think she's going to react?" He asks us.
"Well, she'll probably push you away for a bit. She'll need to think about how she feels. We are letting Madison take this risk. How do you think we feel about lying to her Jayden?" I say.
"Fine, I'll tell her." He gives up.
"You better because we are going to be there. If you tell her we are there, you're in trouble." Mony says.
"I got it." He sighs.
I rake my hand through my hair, "Jayden, we are on your side right now. We chose to see where this goes. Right now it's okay. Though Madison has tons of questions and we don't know how to address them. This is the only way."
"You both are right. This is the only way... now if you'll excuse me Dr. Baker is probably wondering where I am." He straightens his coat and walks away.
"I still cannot believe she doesn't recognize him." Mony sighs.
"When Madison wants to forget, she will do everything in her power to forget." I reply.
"I still don't trust Jayden. Maddie was a wreck 9 years ago. I didn't know how to help her and he can't just come back when everything is going good."
"Do you think this is a good idea?" I ask Mony.
"Nope... do you think she'll hate us?"
"Probably, but not for long." Madison has a hard time holding grudges against people. She forgives and gives away second chances like it's Halloween and she's giving out candy.
Madison's POV
"Stop playing yourself Madison. Get a grip. It is just a bunch of fourteen—fifteen-year-olds." I whisper to myself.
I have my last presentation to give. I am trying not to sike myself out. Its been so long since I've been in a high school classroom. It is silly to me.
