Joe and Taylor are cuddled up on the couch, watching the daily COVID update from the British Prime Minister on the TV, hoping nothing super drastic has occurred since yesterday. Who could've ever imagined the world in this state in this lifetime? The night turns quickly when it's announced that all UK travel corridors would be closed on Monday for an indefinite amount of time. Taylor feels shock course throughout her body, she'd be stuck here.

"I have to go back" She whispers, freeing herself from Joe's arms and standing up. He sits up and looks at her as Taylor begins pacing back and forth, trying to make a list of things she needs to do to get back to the US before the travel ban would be put into place. She turns back to face Joe again,

"I'm sorry but I can't be stuck here, you don't have to come back with me but I need to be able to go home. If something went wrong and I wasn't there I...I'd never forgive myself." They'd planned to stay here until February but now that just wasn't possible for her.

"Love it's okay, I'll come with you." Joe says gently, breaking her train of thought.

"You really don't have to, your family is here, your friends. We've been stuck in the US for the majority of this pandemic and now you're finally home...I can't ask you to come back with me." She says softly, hanging her head. This is just the reality of their families being in two different places, particularly during the pandemic. She hears Joe stand up and she lifts her head as he gets closer to her. He places his hands on her shoulders,

"I'm with you, all the way. I promise." She feels tears begin sliding down her face and Joe wraps his arms fully around her, letting her fall apart against his chest. The pandemic had been getting to her a bit recently, particularly with her mom being ill and none of them knowing what was going to happen to her.

"I'm sorry." She whispers against his chest,

"I never wanted to put you in this position." Taylor squeezes her eyes shut, holding onto Joe tightly.

"You're not putting me in any position love, I don't want to be unnecessarily separated from you. Yes, I love my family and friends but being away from you for an undefined amount of time just isn't an option. At some point our work will return and we'll be forced apart again. There's no real need for me to be in London, so why on earth would I ever choose to be away from you?" Taylor tightens her arms around his body, her heart has completely swelled at his words. Every day she spends with Joe just confirms to her that she made the best decision of her life choosing to be with him.

"Thank you...I love you." She murmurs against his chest. He presses a kiss to the top of her head, making her feel even more loved than she was a moment ago.

'I love you too, forever. I know how much your mother means to you, and how worried you are for her so of course we'll go back to America. I completely understand and I am 100% with you all the way, never forget that." As his words sink in, Taylor looks up at him and he bends down and kisses her softly on the lips. When they pull apart, Taylor gives him a small smile as she gets lost in his eyes

"How did I get so lucky?" He'd managed to calm down her panic and make her feel so loved and wanted.

"I could ask the same love." He presses a kiss to her forehead before pulling her back firmly into his arms again. They hold each other close for a while, in complete and under content for the life they've carved out for themselves and the love they both have for the other. Things in the outside world might be completely insane, but they have found calmness, normality and love within each other and to Taylor, that is the best thing in the whole world.
