He'd been in a bad mood, she'd known that the moment he walked through the door and hadn't called out to her - had just stomped upstairs to take a shower. She just shrugged and continued cooking dinner, assuming he'd come back down in a better mood - or at least hoping she'd be able to make him feel better with a kiss and a hug if he needs it.

When Joe does come down however, he still seems just as peeved but sits down at the kitchen counter anyway, still not saying anything. It annoys her slightly.

"Well hello. Nice to see you." She says, trying to coax him out of his mood.

"I have to work the week of the 25th." He blurts out, no response to her greeting.

"Y'know the typical response to a greeting would be hello back but okay, um...I don't understand-" She trails off, remembering that they had a trip away planned - finally having been able to both get the time off to spend together, it's been so long. "Wait, no! You were supposed to tell them no! We've had these plans for weeks, you can't just bail now!" Her annoyance is spiking, it's not like he'd even come in and told her apologetically. He'd just been all pissy and then said it as though it were nothing.

"There's nothing I can do about it, not everyone has the luxury of just taking time off whenever they want!" It's almost as if he's trying to make her as mad as he is.

"What you think I can just do whatever I want whenever I want? As if I don't work damn hard basically every day of the year?" She's on the edge of anger now. He's really pissing her off. When she hears him scoff she almost loses it.

"Yeah as if Taylor. You are your own boss, you can take little vacations whenever you want and no one would bat an eye." He says it so nonchalantly she's convinced he doesn't even care about her in this moment.

"Oh fuck off, I take vacations occasionally to spend time with YOU. Or to go see my sick mother, that's IT! You know damn well I work hard, don't you dare take your bad day out on me."

"Yeah and you can do that, now I haven't seen my family in about a year because I've been stuck here in this country and WORKING!" He's hit a nerve with that one, how dare he? She's absolutely furious at him now.

"Are you fucking SERIOUS?! You've been stuck here?! So why are you still here then huh? Go on back to London then, what's stopping you? I mean clearly there's nothing keeping you here! So why even fucking bother?! JUST GO!" She screams, he'd hurt her with his choice of words, but hell if she's about to show it.

"Work is KEEPING ME HERE!" He yells back at her, cutting deeper and deeper.

"Well I'm so sorry you have such a miserable life to be stuck with your girlfriend - in a country you apparently hate, doing your dream job that apparently keeps you stuck some here. Choose a struggle Joe, you have a whole cesspool of them apparently." She spits at him,

"Oh fuck off Taylor, don't belittle my feelings."

"No YOU fuck off, you're the one bailing on a vacation because you don't have enough balls to say no to your boss. He can't force you to work when you had scheduled time off!"

"Clearly he can and you just WOULD NOT GET IT!" He stands up now,

"You're being an asshole Joe." She rolls her eyes, going back to stirring dinner.

"Sometimes you make it really hard to love you you know that?" He says bitterly, his arms folded across his chest with a look of pure hatred sewn onto his face. It hurts her, deeply. She hadn't realised he was capable of hurting her so badly, they don't really ever fight like this - they love each other more than anything. Or so she thought. Her anger now removes any rationality in her body, she starts grabbing handfuls of rice and peas and throwing them at him.
