Taylor is lying on the couch keeping herself busy while Joe was working on some stuff upstairs. Olivia was sleeping in her lap and Taylor is stroking her gently while asking her random things as though she'd ever respond.

"Are you having a good day Dibbles? Comfortable enough?" The cat, as one would expect, didn't respond and Taylor laughs softly, continuing to scratch behind Olivia's ears.

"My day's great, thanks for asking. I finished a song, not that you care but I think that's pretty exciting." Writing a full song had genuinely been super exciting for Taylor today and she's still experiencing that excitable feeling in her stomach.

"You know what? You could be a little more responsive. I mean you're not even looking at me! I literally feed you everyday, I give you everything you want and yet you won't even look at me." Taylor sighs to herself, continuing to pet the cat that was absentmindedly licking its own paw.

"Well on the bright side, you're a pretty good listener Dibbles. Where's your sister?" Again, no response, just the continuation of the self-cleaning.

"You're right, she's probably off doing her own thing. She doesn't care about any of us." Suddenly Taylor hears a low chuckle from behind her and she spins her head around.

"Love, who are you talking to?" Joe has a smirk on his face and Taylor feels her cheeks heat up.

"Um...no one? Well, Olivia." Joe shakes his head and walks towards her, pressing a kiss to her forehead before sitting down next to her, grabbing her legs and pulling them across his lap.

"Of course you were." Taylor instinctively rests her head on Joe's shoulder and his arms wrap around her body. This is just another think she loves about him, he'll walk in on her doing something bizarre, like taking to her cats, and just accept that this is the way she is.

"How's your work going?" She asks softly and Joe lets out a frustrated sigh.

"It's...going. I need to be done for the day though so I'll pick it back up again tomorrow." Taylor can feel he's tense and shuffles her body so she can wrap her arms around his neck and hold him close. Joe responds by gripping her body tighter.

"That sounds good, it's important to take breaks." She murmurs softly, rubbing his back gently with one hand while continuing to hold him tight with her other arm. Taylor can feel his shoulders begin to relax and she smiles, glad she's able to have that effect on him. She feels him bury his face in the crook of her neck and let her comfort him. She isn't sure exactly what's stressing him out the most but she knows it has to do with work so she just does her best to help relieve some of his stress and she can feel in his body that it's working to some extent.

"I love you." Taylor says softly, now moving her fingers so she's gently scratching the base of his head.

"I love you too." His face being pressed against her neck muffles his words slightly but she still feels her heart warm. Despite the fact that they've said it many times now, their exchanges of love  are still as magical to Taylor as they are the first time the words were exchanged.

The two of them stay like that for a while, content with just being with each other. Eventually, Joe lifts his head off Taylor's shoulder and looks at her before reaching up and tucking her hair behind her ear. She smiles softly at him and when he smiles back at her, she knows he's feeling better now. Taylor brings their faces together, kissing him softly. When they pull apart, Taylor can't wipe the grin off her face. God she loves this man. Joe laughs lightly,

"What?" She asks playfully, knowing he's laughing at her in some way.

"You were talking to your cat." He says teasingly. Taylor blushes and shakes her head, pretending to be offended.

"Hey! She's a good listener!" Joe laughs again, this time Taylor joins him.

"I'm sure she is love." He presses another kiss to her lips before Taylor rests her head on his chest, getting comfortable curled up in his lap. She closes her eyes, listening to his heartbeat and letting a content sigh slip through her lips. Joe runs his fingers softly through her hair, resting his head gently on top of hers. Taylor can't help but feel happy, because no matter what's going on in the outside world, she doesn't have to worry about it because she has Joe. And he loves her no matter what, even if he walks in on her talking to her cat as though it's a human. She can feel Joe drifting off as well as herself falling asleep on Joe. Neither of them have a care in the world except for each other, and that's the way Taylor wants it to be forever. After a while, they fall asleep together, Taylor curled up in Joe's arms on his lap and Joe with his head resting on Taylor's, his arms loosely around her body, even in his sleep. They are in love, there's no denying that.
