Taylor has been having an awful time, everything just feels like it's falling apart, once again. But today, she's clinging onto the fact that Joe's coming over this afternoon. They'd started dating almost two months ago and it's felt like a dream. She's completely astounded that he'd wanted to date her, that he continually chooses her, despite there being much easier options for him. Her life is messy, especially at the moment. She's filled with so much internal pain, and he knows about a lot of it. So yeah, she was surprised he wanted to be with her, and still does it appears. She's trying to tread delicately, to not fall too hard or fast. To not seem clingy, or irrational. She's hoping it at least looks like some of her pieces are in place. Because the last thing she wants is to lose him. They've known each other since May, and she thinks that a part of her has been falling for him ever since. It was a complete accident, one she had never anticipated. She never wanted to drag someone like him into her life. Because he's good, he's normal and he's got to be the most wonderful man she's ever met. He's just so sweet to her, she never wants to be away from him, which is another obstacle in their relationship, he's from London and she's based in America. But there's a huge part of her that just wants to leave her life behind and run away to London with him, to just be free.
Taylor spends most of her day stuck in PR meetings, everyone seems to be at a loss as to how to fix her image. It's getting to the point where Taylor couldn't care less, it stings so much how deeply the world seems to hate her, but she's close to giving up, convinced there isn't anything she could do to come back from this. That in itself is scary.
Once the meetings come to a close, Taylor lets her head fall into her hands. A heavy weight has landed on her chest, it's been there for months and she can't figure out how to get rid of it. She hears a knock on the door and immediately get up, her mood already beginning to lift. She knows her boyfriend is outside, she'd really missed him this past week. He'd flown to London for an audition and she's excited to hear about how is went. She flings the door open, he quickly moves towards her and she feels him engulf her in his arms. She holds onto him tightly, enjoying their proximity. He leans his head back before gently kissing her. She moves her hands up to his face, his arms wrapped firmly around her waist as his forehead rests on hers.
"Hey." She murmurs gently, feels a huge grin on her face.
"Hi love." He's smiling and she can't help but be completely caught up in this moment. The closeness of their bodies, how happy she feels to be reunited with him. It's all so incredible.
"I missed you!" She whispers, leaning in to kiss him softly again.
"I missed you too, how have you been?" He kisses her cheek before entwining their fingers, the couple making their way to the couch.
"Not too bad," Taylor brushes past the topic, "But hey how was the audition?!" She asks excitedly,
"It went well I think, I'm just waiting to hear back from them now, hopefully over the next couple of days." He runs a hand through his fluffy blonde hair. Taylor beams at him,
"Well I'm crossing my fingers for you." She kisses his cheek before cuddling into him, her legs over his lap, his arms tightly around her body.
"Thanks love, did anything interesting happen this week? How are the cats doing?" Taylor giggles,
"Not particularly, I just hung around here. The cats are being especially moody this week, they only really appear when they're hungry." She watches him smile, a mischievous glint in his eyes
"Well, now I'm here to keep you entertained!" She squeals as he picks her up off the couch, unable to contain her laughter. He sets her down at the kitchen counter before pulling some wine out of his luggage, "I brought this, thought we could celebrate." He grabs out two wine glasses, pouring some for the both of them.
