Promoting Lover

6th of November

Taylor is exhausted, she spent majority of the day performing and doing interviews. Not to mention she's still suffering from jet lag. She'd landed in Tokyo on the 6th of November and today was the 7th. She sits down on her hotel bed, before she allows herself to sleep, she calls her boyfriend. It's only been a day but she's already missing him. She's here for a week so se won't get to be with him until the 13th. Joe picks up on the first few rings.

"Hey babe, how did today go?" His voice comes though the phone and she almost immediately feels more relaxed hearing it. 

"It was good! The language barrier still makes me a little nervous and awkward but today they had kittens! They brought out so many and I got to hold and pet them all, there was this one that just bonded to me...it was so damn cute!" She gushes, god those kittens were adorable.

"Taylor please tell me you didn't adopt another cat." Joe says, laughing slightly.

"No. I wish, but I could never seperate from the kitten for the quarantine period. I feel like that's mean to do that to a baby kitten." She hears Joe laugh outright and she tries to stifle a yawn.

"You sound tired." Taylor scoffs,

"Thanks...I'm jet lagged and spent the whole day doing interviews so I guess I am a little." Taylor lets herself fall back on the bed, her phone still pressed firmly to her ear.

"I can imagine, you've been travelling a bunch recently." Taylor yawns again.

"'Tis the reality of releasing an album...managed to get out of most of this last time. I forgot how tiring it is..." Being all over the place also meant she hadn't had a whole lot of time to spend with Joe. Even when they were in the same place, she'd be off doing interviews or performances or photoshoots or whatever.

"Well it sounds like you should get some sleep then love." He says softly

"Mmm...but I miss you." She wants nothing more than to talk to him right now, just his voice is making her feel better. But she can feel her eyes drooping with every word she says.

"I miss you too but I don't want you to be tired. Call me in the morning okay? I'll send you some funny messages while you sleep about my day." She laughs, those messages are always fun to wake up to when they're apart. It's something they both do for each other, particularly when time zones make it so that one is sleeping while the other is awake. It's their way of staying connected and updated.

"Thank you. I love you, have a good day." 

"I love you too, sleep well okay? I'll talk to you in the morning." She hears the call disconnect and she quickly plugs her phone in before falling into bed and into a deep sleep.

11th of November

Taylor has now acclimatised to the time zone she was in. She's now in China, she been here for a few days and today she got to perform! Performing is always her favourite part of doing trips like this, interviews are okay, here they've actually been interesting but she doesn't tend to enjoy them. But performing is her job, it's one of her favourite things to do, particularly when she has a crowd full of fans that are just as excited about the concert as she is. 

She FaceTime's Joe, whose face pops up quickly on the screen. He's just laying on their couch. God she's missing him 

"Hey, how was your day?" She asks softly.

"Good, I had a chilled out day. Did some chores, laughed at the cats and watched TV. How about you?" His attention is fully on her, just like hers is on him.
