Taylor and Joe have been spending most of their time together recently, the more they get to know one another - the more they just don't want to part. More often than not, Joe's spending nights over at her place, wanting to spend all the time with her that he can while they're still on the same continent. It's something Joe is thoroughly enjoying, he really loves spending time with her - knowing her is the best thing that's ever happened to him. However, because of all this time they're spending together, Joe is beginning to notice things - things she probably wouldn't want him to notice. But he can't help it, he's starting to get concerned about how little Taylor eats. Anytime he offers her food, she declines - either claiming she'd eaten before he'd got here or that she just isn't hungry. Or if she does eat with him, she'll eat as little as possible and once again, claim she isn't super hungry. Her excuses were always something Joe had just accepted, albeit a little sceptically. But now that he's with her basically every day, it's becoming increasingly obvious that somethings wrong, that she really doesn't eat much. He has no idea how to broach the topic, but because he's worried about her he knows he's going to have to. Of course he has no idea about her world, he can't even imagine the pressures she's experienced her entire life - has no clue if she's even aware that she's doing it but he cares about her and he just wants her to be healthy.

Taylor walks down the stairs, finally having woken up hours after he had. He looks up at her, sees her grin when their eyes meet.

"Morning babe!" She greets him happily, causing him to smile in return before pressing a soft kiss to her lips. The moment is almost too pure to have such a difficult conversation. Almost.

"Do you want breakfast?" He asks carefully, knowing that this is probably going to be a conversation that turns the morning to shit.

"Nah, I'm not quite hungry yet. Coffee?" She's busy playing around with the coffee machine but Joe shakes his head, gently grabbing her wrist and leading her over to the kitchen stools, encouraging her to sit with him for a moment.

"Taylor, we need to talk." He watches as the colour very quickly drains out of her face, he can see the fear set in, which is almost enough to break his heart. He grabs her hand, rubbing it gently with his thumb - reassuring her that he's not about to give her the breakup speech. He notices her demeanour relaxing a little, clearly choosing to trust him. He lets out a small sigh before the words spill out of his mouth. "Look, this is difficult for me to say. I'm honestly not really sure if I should be bringing it up, but I'm worried about you so I think I have to..." He trails off, looking into her eyes, gripping her hand firmly before taking a deep breath. "I wasn't 100% sure a little while ago, but now that I'm spending more time here, with you, I'm noticing that you barely eat any food Taylor. I'm just worried about you, is there any particular reason why?" Joe notices Taylor's entire body has stilled, but not before she withdraws her hands from his.

"I do eat." She says quietly, a hint of anger and defence in her voice.

"Not nearly enough, love." He says softly, trying to be delicate about all this. "I'm worried about you." All he wants is for Taylor to feel comfortable enough to talk to him, or anyone really, so she can get the help she needs. So she can be confident in her own skin. He knows the signs of an eating disorder but he's not here to diagnose her with anything, she needs to come to that conclusion on her own. He just wants to be here for her.

"You don't need to be worried because I do eat. You just don't see it." She isn't looking at him anymore, he can see her throwing up a wall. Joe sighs, deciding to try this from another angle.

"How do you feel about you? What do you see when you look in the mirror?" He sees Taylor furrow her eyebrows, her hands clasped in her lap.

"I don't know." She just shrugs. Joe knows she's lying to him, he's noticed how often she puts herself down, how she doesn't believe him when he goes on about how beautiful she is. He sees the way she looks at herself in the mirror. It honestly breaks his heart every single time that she can't see herself the way he does.
