Taylor just stared down at the stick out of fear. She can't quite wrap her head around the fact that she's carrying a child. Her body floods with anxiety, how's she going to tell Joe? They hadn't planned for this to happen now. They'd had conversations about children before, and Taylor is feeling some excitement mixed in with her anxiety but she's not quite sure she's ready to be a mom. She knows that Joe is the person she'd want to do this with, she does want to give him a child, but are they ready? Taylor shoves the test into her drawer while her mind spirals some more. She won't be able to give this child a normal life, the paparazzi following her everywhere, the constant travelling. How could she do that to a child? Taylor takes a few deep breaths, running her hand through her hair before standing up and exiting the bathroom.

She yawns, her extreme exhaustion finally making some sense. Joe will be back tomorrow so she has until then to figure out how to tell him. Taylor's just praying that he wants it and isn't going to be hesitant about having a baby with her. She props herself up on her pillows and lifts her shirt, gently rubbing her flat stomach. She sighs, stopping her hands movements before slowly drifting off to sleep.

The next morning, Taylor is woken by soft streams of sunlight filtering into the room through the cracks in her blinds. She stretches her arms over her head before yesterday's events come flooding back to her. She begins thinking up ways to tell Joe, and his possible reactions to this news. Rationally, she know's he'll be happy about this but her mind can't stop the what ifs. She looks over at the digital clock on her nightstand. 10:15am. Taylor's shocked, surprised she slept that long and is still exhausted. Joe should be home at noon so Taylor slowly eases herself out of bed and makes her way downstairs. She goes to grab herself some coffee but stops herself, realising that coffee is definitely on the not-pregnancy safe list, much to her dismay. Groaning, she pours herself some cereal before sitting down at the counter and eating it slowly.

By the time noon rolls around, Taylor's managed to shower and get dressed. Her anxiety is spiking with every minute that rolls by. Suddenly, she hears the lock by the front door click, signalling that her boyfriend is home. Suddenly, her anxiety about her news is replaced by the excitement of seeing Joe after this past week of him being gone. Taylor jumps up off the couch, making her way quickly towards him. When they see each other, grins form on both of their faces and Taylor runs towards him, throwing her arms around his neck. She can feel his arms wrap firmly around her body. Oh how she's missed this physical contact. Phone calls and texting just really isn't the same. Being able to hold him close and breathe him in is everything she's ever wanted.

"I missed you." He murmurs into her ear, causing Taylor to tighten her grip on him.

"I missed you too." She whispers, her news comes crashing back down on her shoulders and she can feel her body stiffen up again. Clearly Joe notices something because he pulls back to look her in the eyes.

"Love, you okay?" Taylor tries to smile at him but she knows he can see right through her. He tucks her hair behind her ear, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"What's wrong?" He asks softly, rubbing her shoulders gently. His concern just causes Taylor to burst into tears, to which Joe reacts quickly by pulling her body against his, holding her close and rubbing circles into her back. Taylor buries her face into his chest, having no clue why she'd just burst into tears. Her sobs begin to slow as Joe comforts her gently. She sucks in a deep breath before her words just practically jump from her mouth.

"I'm pregnant." She whispers, sort of hoping Joe didn't hear her. His hand stops on her back, a clear sign that he had, in fact, heard her. Taylor lifts her head off his chest to look up at him.
