The end is coming, she can feel it and deep down, she knows he can too. The distance has been tearing them apart. Now, tears are leaking down her face as she lies there alone, realising neither of them have been bothered to even talk for the past three days. her tour, his movie - maybe they were bad choices. right now, in this moment, she wishes she'd never decided to tour again, wishes she'd just gone with him. Maybe then they'd be okay again, and she wouldn't be questioning everything like this. She's going to lose him. Her home. Her family. She's going to lose everything with him. Her whole world is shattering all around her and she's not sure how to stop it. Quickly wiping her eyes, she picks up the phone to call him, so terribly nervous. The phone rings, and rings, and rings, until it rings out and his familiar voicemail plays. This just makes her cry harder - it's so rare for him to miss one of her calls, usually only if he's asleep. But it's the middle of the day in Budapest, so she knows it's because his priorities are somewhere else. Processing the death of a relationship is always hard. But this...this is 10x worse anything she's ever felt before.

It takes her another hour before she finally feels her body drift off.

----------------------

When she wakes the next day, she feels awful. Her head is pounding, and she can't believe she has to get up on stage today and sing and be okay in front of 70 000 people. She checks her phone, wondering if Joe's called her back. He's just sent her a short message:

J - what's up?

That's also weird, usually he would've called her back the moment he'd realised he'd missed a call, or asked if she's okay. Her heart clenches a bit.

T - we need to talk, can you call me back when you've got a bit of time?

Taylor turns off her phone, letting her head fall down against the pillow. She doesn't think she's ever felt as devastated and hopeless as she does in this moment. But despite it all, there's a show to put on. So she drags herself out of bed, throwing on some leggings and a t-shirt before making her way out to the small hotel kitchen, craving some coffee before forcing herself through the day.

When she makes it out, she realises her mother's already let herself in and is sipping her own coffee.

"Morning Tay!" her mother says brightly, Taylor plasts a small smile on her face

"Morning!" she responds, pouring herself a mug of coffee. she doesn't want to discuss this yet with anyone, she needs to talk to Joe first. They need to see each other before they decide anything and start letting their friends and family in on what's happening.

"Are you ready for today?" her mom asks, Taylor nods

"Of course!" she says happily "this tour is going to be so much fun!" The two of them finish their coffee before alerting a driver that they're ready to be taken to the stadium for rehearsals and makeup/costume.

A few hours later, Taylor's sitting in her dressing room, her team surrounding her as they move to get ready for tonight's show, when she feels her phone buzz. It's Joe calling. Her heart stops for a moment, panic seeping into her veins, but she excuses herself, shutting the bathroom door behind her and answering the phone.

"Hello?" she murmurs into the phone.

"Hey, what's up? it sounded serious." His voice makes her heart hurt. She loves him, so much, but something's wrong and she can't figure this out alone.

"I think it might be. I'm not sure..." she trails off, moving to sit on the bathroom floor.

"Well? we can figure it out." Taylor squeezes her eyes shut, knowing full well she might be about to bring up the topic that sends them spiralling closer to the end.
