The Qunjet landed back in the tower a few hours later. Upon our arrival, Dr. Cho and her team took Clint off to heal his wounds using her technology.

I had a short sleep on the flight and had the same nightmare again. I bet Loki was literally laughing, wherever he was. I'm not sure whether he would have ended up in Hel or Valhalla due to his actions in this life, but I'm sure that he was laughing at me.

Steve had ended up shaking me awake, after I was calling out in my sleep. It really shocked me, waking up and seeing his concerned face staring deep into my soul. He asked me if I was okay and I lied, saying I was fine. I wasn't, but I didn't need him to know that.

After that, Steve was constantly looking over to me, looking at me like I was a freak or something. I tried to avoid his gaze but kept checking to see if he was looking at me. He usually was and if he wasn't, he would then start when I looked at him.

I was still pretty shaken when the jet landed and didn't want to stand up straight away, so I hung back while some of the others ran off, after Clint and Dr. Cho.

---Steve's POV---

We were back in New York and Clint was being taken care of by Dr. Cho. The others had left the jet, except from Theia, Tony and myself.

I couldn't peel my eyes away from Theia. I had to wake her up halfway through the flight after she started calling out for her mother. It squeezed my heart to see the panic in her eyes when she woke. She lied and told me she was okay, but I saw straight through it.

I kept checking on her to make sure she was all right as she sat in silence on her own. I wanted to help ease her pain, but she was probably waiting to see Dominic for that.

Maria Hill walked onto the jet. "Lab's all set up, boss." She informed Tony. As I sat on the floor, staring longingly at a shaking Theia.

"Oh, actually, he's the boss. I just pay for everything and design everything and make everyone look cooler." Tony joked back as I pulled myself from the floor to get the information off Maria.

"What's the word on Strucker?"

"NATO's got him." She informed me as I walked over to look at the tablet she was holding. Theia stood up and joined us.

"The two Enhanced?" Theia asked. I felt so bad for snapping at her. I didn't mean to, but she let the girl get away and it just slipped out. I saw the sadness in her eyes when I said it and instantly regretted it, especially when she had just showed that she still cared, even if only a little.

"Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Twins." Maria explained as she handed me the tablet, letting Theia and I look at them. Another set of twins. "Orphaned at 10 when a shell collapsed their apartment building. Sokovia's had a rough history. It's nowhere special, but it's on the way to everywhere special." She explained as the three of us walked into the tower.

"Their abilities?" I asked.

"He's got increased metabolism and improved thermal homeostasis. Her thing is neuroelectric interfacing, telekinesis, mental manipulation." Maria explained as Theia and I looked at her confused by the technicalities. "He's fast and she's weird."

We had reached the elevator that would take us back to the main part of the tower. Theia pressed the button, summoning it. "Well, they're gonna show up again." I cautioned as the elevator dinged upon its arrival.

"Agreed. File says they volunteered for Strucker's experiments. It's nuts." She exclaimed as I walked into the elevator and leant against the bar at the back. Theia followed me in but kept her distance, staying near the doors.
