Turns out Wanda had helped plan out Steve's proposal as well, so she was actually the puppet master running the whole operation. I guess she needed the distraction. However, now that it's done, I think Vision is providing a suitable distraction.

Thor had given Steve the ring before he left. I'm guessing his original plan was to give the ring to Jane, but I am suspicious of something going sour there.

Knowing my plan with Steve, Wanda then told Steve that I was going to give him my gift on the roof and that it would be the perfect time to propose. I've said it before, and I will say it again: sneaky little witch.

After we had both calmed down about becoming parents and getting married, we went down and told everyone at the party our double news.

It felt so good to finally be sharing the news with our family. I knew that Steve felt a little down at the fact that Bucky wasn't there, but Sam and I tried our hardest to keep him high spirited.

It was now a couple of months later and my morning sickness had finally stopped. The day after we told everyone was when it started. It was like everything became real and my body told me so.

I was waking up at the crack of dawn to throw up while Steve held back my hair and told me that everything was going to be okay but in reality, I just wanted to punch him.

Senator Ross had turned Steve and I into his own little show ponies and 'America's sweethearts' which I found incredibly disturbing. My pregnancy and our engagement were announced to the press shortly after we told everyone on Steve's birthday and we were forced into doing loads of photoshoots and meeting 'fans' (which I didn't mind but it was exhausting). It was mainly the fact that we were being used to make the Avengers into some sort of reality show that was bugging us.

For example, Steve was supposed to go and record some promotional videos for the high schools around America. Things like exercise challenges, health videos and advice for teens. Sam and I found it absolutely hysterical as he had to wear his show costume from the 40s and he looked adorable.

"Are you sure that you two have this handled?" Steve asked Sam and I as we were sprawled across the sofa in the compound watching Pinocchio. Sam had convinced me to watch all the Disney movies in order to show me the 'representation of princesses on Earth' and to give me a 'well-rounded education' which was obviously an excuse for him to watch them, but I didn't mind, in fact I was enjoying them.

All the other Avengers were off on missions or on their days off meaning that it was just Sam and I on duty. Hardly anything ever actually happened while at the facility. No one dared to attack the home of the Avengers.

"Of course, we can handle it." I scoffed as I turned the volume up on the TV and shovelled a huge handful of popcorn into my mouth from the bowl that was resting neatly on my baby bump.

"Ok, fine. But if anything happens, you call me, and I will be here." He assured us as he tied up his spangly boots of his costume causing Sam to titter slightly.

"We got it, man. Now go be the 'Star Spangled Man with a Plan'." Sam joked with a sing-song voice as Steve rolled his eyes at us.

It didn't take us long after having access to the S.H.I.E.L.D. archives, for us to find plenty of videos of Steve dancing on stage and being the 'Star Spangled Man with a Plan'. Steve was more than over our teasing but for Sam and I, it was far from old.

"Okay. Look after my babies." He smiled as he placed a kiss on the top of my head. When I realised he was behind me, I tipped my head back and accepted a kiss on my lips while still looking at the TV.
