I was standing on the balcony of our suite smoking and looking at the cityscape. Dallas was a beautiful place for real and the night time was something different. As busy as the city was, it was still a peaceful vibe to it all. Kev came out and wrapped his arms around me and I passed the blunt to him. This was almost unbelievable. I never thought at the beginning of the year that I'd be here right now, but I'm here for it. "What's on your mind mama?" Kev asked me, it's like he always knew when I was in thought. "If someone told me this is what I would be doing right now, I would've never believed them." I said to him. "Not the smoking on the balcony part, but..." we both laughed. "I knew what you meant Bae. But truthfully, when I first heard you sing, I knew. You have raw ass talent. You write poetry, write music, you dance, you play instruments, you rap, and you sing. Not to mention you're intelligent and mentally attractive, who couldn't fall in love with that? The way all of that shows in your music and just your aura, you belong here." he said. I turned around to face him and he looked down into my eyes. "What?" he asked me. "You be trying to tug at my lil heartstrings, huh?" We both laughed at that. "Thank you though." "You don't ever have to thank me for speaking the truth." I grabbed his face and kissed him. I know for sure that I was a lucky girl. Men like Kev weren't a dime a dozen at all. "Mmm don't be doing that. You be trying to awake the beast." he said and we both laughed. "We're probably both too tired for that right now, but we'll be seeing each other real soon." I said and he smiled. "But aside from that, you definitely belong out there. The way the crowd feeds into your every move seems damn near magical. Like they're so drawn to you, it's crazy." "I might just have that effect on people. What you think?" he said and we laughed for a moment, he was right though. "Naw...but I have relatable music though. I speak on my experiences and life and it's hard not to feel it. Anybody that ever went through some shit, can feel what I'm saying. Like that stage reacts to me, the way the spoken word scene reacts to you." That made a lot of sense though. We finished the blunt and went back inside and went to lay down. Kev laid down on his stomach, so I decided to give him a massage. He deserved it. I went ahead and straddled him. "Mmmm it's real warm right there." he said as we both laughed. I started to massage his shoulders first. "That feels good." he said and I smiled as I worked from his shoulders down his back. "Shit if dance or music didn't work out, you definitely could've pursued this. Them hands work so good." he said while I continued to rub on his back. I just wanted to make sure I relaxed him real good. The same way he's been a reliever for me, I try to be that for him. Once I was finished, I laid down beside him and he looked over at me. "Thank you. I needed that." he said to me. "I know. You're welcome." I said to him and he turned and laid on his back before he grabbed ahold of my foot and began to rub on it. Mannnnn it felt awesome, he must've known my feet were hurting earlier. "You talking about me, you're not bad with your hands either." I said. "I might know a lil something something." he said as I laughed and he began to rub my other foot too. "Your face over there looking like 'I could get used to this'." We both laughed. "I could though." I said being completely transparent. "As you should. You know I got you." he told me. I moved over and laid my head on his chest and before I knew it, I had drifted off. I woke up and peeked at the clock. It read 1:57pm. Mannnn....I needed that sleep for real. I slowly sat up in the bed and he did too. He looked at the clock and then back over at me. "Oh yeah, we were definitely tired." he said as we both headed to the bathroom. I went straight to brush my teeth and he went to pee. I checked my phone and no notifications...I guess everybody probably still sleep or just waking up too. I brushed my teeth and when he was finished, he started to do the same. I like how each day starts the same with us no matter where we're at. Afterwards, I went and sat on the couch and decided to scroll social media a little bit to see if anyone got us posted. Went straight to IG and really got to see the posts from the show last night and I was loving the support. "You have every reason to feel like you're the one." he said as he showed me his phone. A comment under one of his pictures said 'Lucky mf, I'll wait til he fuck it up with my future wife'. I laughed at that comment and he smiled. "He gone be waiting for an eternity." Kev said as he sat down next to me. And almost instantly I had one for him too. I showed him my phone. Chick really commented 'They cute or whatever but she ain't got shit on me. Come to Big Mama Influx'. He just cracked up laughing. "Bitches be saying anything." he said brushing it off. "They do, that was comical though." I said as I set my phone down and started stretching, I felt so many bones crack in my body but it felt so good. Tonight was a shorter show and it was later in the day which actually left us with some time to explore or relax. This has been the first lil break we had since we left for tour. After tonight we're on to the next state and no performance for 2 days...definitely gonna get some me time with my man when I can. But as for now...gotta stay performance ready, so I'll exercise a little bit.
