The next morning, Nanala woke up naked next to James. She wasn't surprised, since they both had quite a bit to drink that night. Nanala would definitely say that was one of her best birthdays she's ever had. With a sigh, Nanala rolled over and slightly opened the curtain. She smiled when she seen the small bag next to the bed. There was a small note connected to the bag.
'I figured you'd need these for the morning after. I also put two hangover potions in the bag for you and James.
~ Moony'Nanala pulled the bag into the bed and closed the curtains completely once again, before she pulled the hangover Potions out of the bag. As she was moving around, James stirred next to her. Opening his eyes, he groaned and rubbed his eyes. Nanala held a potion over his face so he could see it. Once he seen what it was, Nanala opened the vile and poured the potion into the boy's mouth. Nanala opened the other one and poured it into her own mouth, before she pulled her clothes out of the bag.
"Moony is amazing at picking clothes," Nanala said sarcastically, pulling her top on.
Nanala was lucky that Remus had grabbed her bra and put it in her bag last night. She was able to wear a bra with the top that would've been see through, had she not had a white bra to wear under it. She then pulled on her panties and pants.
"I like your outfit," James commented, causing the girl to smile.
"Thank you, even if I never would've worn it if it wasn't for Moony grabbing my clothes," She replied, and he chuckled.
Once James had on his own pants, Nanala opened the curtain. The couple almost jumped out of their skin when they seen Sirius sitting in his bed, facing them with a grin.
"That's creepy, mate," James commented, causing Sirius to shrug.
"Don't care," He answered,"You two finally shagged. What's next? Marriage?" He asked jokingly, causing his friends to roll their eyes.
"Let's go get breakfast," Nanala retorted, standing from the bed, as Remus exited the bathroom.
The group, minus Peter since he was still asleep, walked down to the Great Hall for breakfast. As they walked in, Nanala swore she felt eyes on her, but she couldn't figure out who was watching her. Yes, Marlene and Lily kept their eyes on her, but she was use to them looking by now, so their eyes never really bothered her.
The unknown person was watching Nanala and James with steady eyes. They had heard word that James Potter and Lily Evans were meant to be together, but Nanala Malfoy was in the way of destiny. One way or another Lily and James were going to be together, and they hoped James would drop Nanala soon, otherwise they'd have to put matters into their own hands. If Nanala caused problems for destiny, than she was going to be taken from the equation all together.
"You're still wearing the jewelry James got you," Sirius commented, and Nanala nodded.
"I don't plan on taking it off," She replied, causing James to smile.
Hearing those words come for Nanala's mouth made James's stomach fill with butterflies. Moments later, owls flew in with letters and such for the students from home. A letter was dropped in front of James, as well as one for Sirius and one for Remus; Nanala was surprised to find one drop in front of her. With hesitance, Nanala grabbed the letter and opened it.
'Nanala Malfoy,
Your father and I have been very lenient with you, especially after you were sorted into Gryffindor. After everything you've put us through; such as befriending a half breed, we've looked past it. Apparently the punishments haven't been severe enough.
We've heard about your relationship with the blood traitor, James Potter. We looked past your friendship with him and Sirius Black, hoping that maybe you could change them into our ways, but we were very wrong. You have muddied up the Malfoy name by getting involved with the Potter boy.
If you return home for the Christmas holiday, know that you will be handled accordingly. If you don't return for the Christmas holiday, know that you are therefore disowned and no longer allowed to come back, nor are you allowed any of the Malfoy fortune. You better make wise choices, your future is at stake.
- Mother'
"Nala, are you okay?" James asked, watching the color drain from Nanala's face.
"They've threatened me. They know everything. If I go home, I'll be tortured, but if I don't, I'll be disowned," Nanala said, causing the boys to frown.
"Don't worry, Nala. You can stay with me. Besides, Mum wants to know if you're coming to stay for the holidays. Do you want to stay?" James asked, and Nanala bit her lip.
Nanala hated her family forever everything they did to her, and for everything they stood for, but she knew she'd miss them. They were her family after all, but they hurt her; broke her beyond repair.
"Yes, I'd like that," She replied, deciding not to think about her family anymore.
She had to do what was best for her. If her family wasn't happy, that was their problem. Nanala had to be sure she took more galleons this time though, since she soon wouldn't have any at all. She wasn't going to be broke because of them. She wished she could take them for everything they're worth, but she couldn't. They were terrible, and she hoped one day they'd pay for everything they did to her.
Life may have sucked for most of her life, but she was determined to make it better. If she was leaving her family behind, she was going to make things better for herself. There wasn't a reason in the world for her to deal with them anymore. They made their choice, and she finally made her own...
