Danielle had pretty much moved into Nanala's place, since she had wanted to help Nanala with Henry. One night when Danielle was asleep, while Nanala was still in the hospital, Nanala casted a couple of spells to fix up her health. Of course, she was still going to be a little sore and such, but she wasn't like she had been before.
"Dani, can I talk to you?" Nanala asked, as she walked into the kitchen where Danielle was making dinner.
Danielle had decided to make fettuccini alfredo for dinner, which Nanala was excited for. Nanala was trying many new things from Danielle, since she hadn't really gotten to try many muggle things when she was in her old world.
"Sure, just let me finish up," Danielle replied, grabbing plates for the food.
Once she had put food on the plates, she set them down at the bar. The bar had a few bar stools surrounding it, so the girls had more than enough room to sit and eat. Most nights, the two girls would eat at the bar, even though Nanala had a table and chairs that were more than acceptable for sitting down and eating.
"What did you want to talk about?" Danielle asked, causing Nanala to sigh shakily.
"What if I told you, everything you know in Harry Potter was actually real, but in a different universe?" Nanala asked, causing Danielle to scrunch her eyebrows.
"Are you messing with me?" She asked, a confused smile on her face.
"No, I'm not messing with you, Dani. I was born in the Wizarding World. My father's name was Abraxas Malfoy, and my brother's name was Lucius. I was good friends with the Marauders, but Remus was my best friend. James had decided that he wanted to have a fake relationship with me to finally get Lily to see him, but then he and I started falling for each other.
Sirius tried to tell us it wasn't a good idea, but he started wanting James and I to be together after a while. He wanted us to be together, especially since our future wasn't certain with the first war coming our way. When I found out I was pregnant, Remus was the first one I told. I was scared to tell James, but I planned to tell him eventually.
One night when I went to tell him, Dumbledore came and stopped me. He told me I was messing up the future and fate of the wizarding world, so he pointed his wand at me, then next thing I know I woke up here. When I was there it was nineteen seventy eight, and when I woke up here it was two thousand eleven. Honestly, it's all very confusing to me, but I can still do magic here, so my life wasn't completely ruined," Nanala said, as she remembered everything about her past.
"So, do you care if I ask some questions?" Danielle asked, after a moment of silence.
"I didn't expect you to just believe me without some questions," Nanala replied, laughing nervously.
"Have you tried contacting them, or have you tried going back to your world?" Danielle asked, causing Nanala to nod.
"I looked through as much as I could, and I tried to remember everything I learned in Hogwarts, but I swear we never learned any kind of spell like the one Dumbledore used on me. I didn't even hear the words he said, so I wouldn't be able to just reuse it on my own," Nanala replied, making Danielle frown.
"Maybe you should try to figure out a way to communicate with your friends, at least one more time before you just decide to live in this world like a regular person," Danielle commented, and Nanala bit her lip.
"I never thought about it, but I think I will try, even if it's only a small message," Nanala answered, causing Danielle to nod.
"I will help you look for a spell or something to send a letter to them," Danielle replied, making Nanala smile.
"Thank you, Dani. I'm happy you believe me, and that you still want to be my friend after finding out I kept such a big secret from you," Nanala said, and Danielle smiled.
"Of course, Nala," Danielle answered,"Besides, the secret was such a big part of your life. You were only protecting yourself and Henry. I wouldn't expect you to spill your life secrets to me as soon as you met me," She added, as she laughed lightly.
Nanala felt herself smile again knowing her best friend was still her best friend after hearing such a big secret. She hadn't thought about sending a letter to her friends, but she wondered if the letter would change the outcome of the story. She didn't want to change the story, especially if it was in a worse way than what already happened. James, Sirius, and Remus had already died, so she was afraid it could change for the worse, meaning even more people could potentially die.
"What if the letter changes the story?" Nanala asked,"The whole point for Dumbledore casting me out of the wizarding world was to make sure fate happened exactly how it was supposed to. If I send a letter, couldn't that change things?"
"Yes, it could, but you could always just send a letter to Remus. You could tell him to keep everything a secret from James and Sirius. I mean, if I were you, I'd never mention Peter, or if he was mentioned, I'd make sure not to mention him in a good way. Maybe you could give pointers about him. At least, even if something happens to James and Lily, Harry could always end up with Sirius, instead of with those awful Dursleys," Danielle replied, causing Nanala to nod.
Nanala was going to figure out how to send a letter to Remus. He deserved to know she was alive and so was Henry. He deserved to know everything, and she was going to be sure he kept it all a secret. If he didn't, fate could definitely bite everyone in the ass...
