Chapter Forty Six

The team ended up spending one night at Clint's farm, before they had to leave to go back to work. Nanala had only gotten the night and part of the day to rest, much to Laura's dismay. She was pissed, but she couldn't go against the team. Her husband and Nanala had to work with the team, so she didn't want to start crap with the team and make things hard for Clint and Nanala.

Nanala had to sit with her leg propped up the entire ride, since she couldn't bend it. She had went with Tony and Bruce, because Clint knew she'd be safer, and she wouldn't have to move around as much. Tony and Bruce accepted her presence, since she was pretty good at helping them with their work. She didn't know everything, but she knew enough.

While Tony and Bruce were doing "sciencey" stuff, Nanala was sitting nearby with her leg kicked up. She had tried to fix it with magic, but Bruce reminded her that Laura would know if she used magic to fix her knee, so she chose against it. She did take one of her pain relieving potions though, which made her knee feel a lot better.

"I'm gonna say this once," Steve began, catching Nanala's attention.

Nanala figured she must've fallen asleep, since she didn't think they had been in there for that long. Maybe the science had gone to her head, and completely blocked her from reality. She wished that was the case, but obviously it was not.

"How about nonce?" Tony retorted, not giving Steve much attention.

"Shut it down," Steve demanded, as two figures walked up behind him.

"No, not gonna happen," Tony replied, catching Nanala's attention.

"You don't know what you're doing," Steve commented, causing Nanala to sigh.

"And you do?" Bruce asked, making Nanala smirk slightly from his sass back,"She's not in your head?" He added, pointing to the girl.

Nanala quickly turned to the first figure, a girl, and she realized that the girl was the one messing with everyone's head. She had screwed with most of them, but luckily she and Clint were unscathed. Well, technically only her mind was, but still she was lucky.

"I know you're angry," The girl commented, causing Nanala to scoff.

"I'm way past that," Bruce replied, and Nanala nodded in agreement,"I can choke the life out you and never change a shade," He added, causing Nanala's eyes to go wide.

"Banner, after everything that's happened--" Steve began, but he was cut off by Tony.

"That's nothing compared to what's coming," Tony retorted, as he glared at Steve.

"You don't know what's in there," The girl spat, looking over at Tony.

"This isn't a game," Steve added, causing Nanala to roll her eyes.

In seconds, Nanala watched as everything was calm, before all of the wires and such were torn out. Nanala gasped quietly, and stood up from where she was sitting. Standing straight up on her knee caused pain, but she couldn't think about it.

"No, no, go on," A boy began, throwing wires to the ground, as beeping was heard,"you were saying."

When he turned slightly, Nanala was finally able to get a look at his face. First, she noticed and knew instantly that he was the one that had hurt her. But she also realized that the boy looked exactly like James, the only difference was his hair and that he didn't wear glasses. He was also a little more muscular, but Nanala wouldn't compare muscles.

The moment she seen the boy's face, her heart skipped a beat. She remembered Clint telling her the two were Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, and they had worked with Ultron. Obviously, Nanala knew that had changed, since Steve brought them back with him, but Nanala was still disappointed. Pietro was almost an exact replica of James Potter, and it made her heart hurt. She thought she had gotten away from it all, but she hadn't, and that hurt more than anything.

A moment later, Nanala watched as Pietro fell through the glass under his feet, causing him to disappear from her view.

"Pietro!" Wanda exclaimed, and Nanala knew instantly that Clint had been the one to best Pietro.

Next thing Nanala knew, Tony and Steve were fighting each other. Steve threw his shield at Tony, and Tony blasted Steve. Then Bruce grabbed Wanda, keeping her in what seemed to be a chokehold, but Nanala couldn't be sure.

"Go ahead, piss me off," She heard Bruce say, causing the girl's eyes to widen.

Nanala quickly placed a protection charm over herself, since she was already injured, and she really didn't know what side to be on in the fight. She then seen Wanda use her powers to push Bruce away, before Thor came out of nowhere. He charged up his hammer with lightning and forced the lightening down on the capsule. When Thor stopped, Nanala watched as he was thrown back by a force inside of the capsule.

A red human-like man climbed out of the capsule. He looked at everyone for a moment, before charging at Thor. Thor threw him away from himself, before he and Steve jumped down to the man's level. Everyone slowly descended down to the next level, watching the man closely. Nanala stayed close behind Tony, just in case something happened.

"I'm sorry, that was odd," The red man said, as he looked over to Thor,"Thank you."

Nanala watched as a suit grew on to the red man's body, and her eyes widened slightly.

"Thor, you helped create this?" Steve asked, though his tone was very pointed.

"I've had a vision, a whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at its center, is that," He said, pointing to the glowing stone on the man's head.

"What? The gem?" Bruce asked, as everyone stared.

"It's the mindstone, it's one of the six infinity stones. The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities," Thor explained, as everyone listened.

"Then why would you bring--" Steve began, before Thor cut him off.

"Stark is right," Thor commented, causing Nanala's eyes to widen.

"Oh, it's definitely the end of times," Bruce murmured, and Nanala chuckled silently.

"The Avengers can not defeat Ultron," Thor said, making Nanala frown.

"Not alone," The red man added, his voice seeming a bit robotic to Nanala.

Nanala just wasn't sure what to expect when it came to Ultron and the newly created man in front of her and the team...
