Nanala had to fight more than one person on Tony's team. She actually had to throw Black Panther away from Bucky, when he was close to actually hurting the man. Nanala knew she was supposed to protect Bucky, so she did what she could to save him.
After a bit more, the teams regrouped a bit, and Steve decided they needed a big distraction. When Clint had told Steve that someone of them would have to lose for Steve and Bucky to get away, Nanala decided to stay at Clint's side. As soon as he seen her though, he gave her a frown.
"Go with them," He said, but the girl shook her head.
"No, I'm staying with you," She replied, causing Clint to sigh.
"Go, the world doesn't really know much about you existing, and they don't know about Henry. If you leave, it'll keep you and Henry safe. You can just go home, but first we both know what you're going to do," Clint commented, and she nodded.
"I'm going to save Bucky and Steve," She said, before she disaparated away.
The moment she was near Steve and Bucky, she seen Black Panther and Natasha coming from both directions. So, she quickly aparated over to Bucky, grabbed his arm, and aparated into the jet.
"What the hell was that?" Bucky asked, as he tried to keep himself from throwing up.
"That was aparation. It's like teleportation to you guys, but it makes you feel a little dizzy and sick when you aparate the first few times, especially when you are side aparated," She answered, giving Bucky a shrug.
Moments later, Steve met up with them in the jet. He quickly went to the pilot seat and took off.
"I was hoping Nala had gotten you. Otherwise I would've been really confused on how you just disappeared," Steve commented, causing Nanala to roll her eyes.
"You should tell your friend more about my powers, before I try to aparate with him, and he almost throws up all over the place," Nanala said, and Bucky rolled his eyes.
Nanala felt herself becoming tired. She knew it was from all the magic she had used when she was battling Tony's team, as well as the magic she used to get Bucky away from danger and into the jet. She was tired, and she honestly needed a couple hours of sleep before she ended up passing out in the middle of using her magic to defend herself.
"Nala, get some rest. Bucky and I have something to take care of, that doesn't involve putting you in danger," Steve said, causing Nanala to frown.
"What exactly are you doing?" She asked, crossing her arms.
"Taking out other winter soldiers," Bucky murmured, as Steve gave him a glare for telling the girl.
"What?!" She exclaimed, standing up.
"You're not getting involved," Steve stated, leaving no room for argument.
"Fine," She huffed,"but if it seems you're losing, I'm coming in," She said, and Steve simply nodded.
"Sleep, or you won't help us," Bucky commented, causing the girl to sigh.
Nanala laid down as best as she could, and slowly closed her eyes.
A few hours later, Nanala was woken up to Steve landing the jet. She sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, as she watched him and Bucky step off of the jet. The girl waited for a while, before her stomach starting filling with worry.
Right when she was going to get off the jet, she seen Bucky and Steve coming her way. Her eyes widened when she seen the blood covering them, as well as Bucky's arm missing. She quickly turned around and got back on the jet, and soon the two men followed.
"King T'Challa invited us to Wakanda. He said he'd be able to help Bucky," Steve said, as Bucky sat quietly, glaring at the wall.
"What happened in there?" Nanala asked, making the man sigh.
"I'll explain later, it's kind of hard on Buck--" Steve began, but Bucky cut him off.
"I killed Stark's parents," Bucky said,"He was just getting his revenge," He added, causing the girl to frown.
"You were under HYDRA's control, Buck. It's not your fault," Steve commented, but Bucky simply shook his head.
"Doesn't matter--" Bucky began, but Nanala cut him off.
"Yes it does. When I was still in my world, there was a curse that could be used to take over a witch or wizard's body and make them do whatever they wanted," Nanala said, giving Bucky a simple smile.
Bucky stayed quiet, as he studied Nanala. He thought the girl was beautiful, and he wouldn't deny that at all. She was really pretty, and she was smart. He didn't understand why she was being so nice to him. He was a villain, even if nobody else wanted to believe it. She wanted to help him, and he didn't know why.
"How long until we get to Wakanda?" Nanala asked,"I still need more sleep to recharge," She commented, causing Steve to glance back for a second.
"Get some rest. It'll be a while," He replied, and she nodded.
Nanala laid down once again and closed her eyes. Bucky watched her as she slept, which sounded creepy, but he didn't mean it in a creepy way. She was a mystery to him, and he wanted to figure out why he was so intrigued by her.
Her blonde hair was still as pristine as ever, even with the amount of fighting she had done. He glanced over all of her bruises, but there wasn't that many that covered her body. The bruises stood out on her pale skin, but the ones that really stood out were the ones that her blonde hair hung over.
She looked so calm and peaceful while she slept, nothing like the smart-mouthed, witty witch she was when she was awake. Honestly, he wondered how much trauma she had went through, but judging by how she acted, he didn't know if she went through any. The problem was, he didn't know just how much trauma she went through that made her close to as traumatized as him...
