The next day had come quicker than Nanala would've wanted. She was still barely competent when it came to accepting that she was a part of the Avengers. If she was supposed to live with them, she was going to have to accept that she was a part of the team.
Danielle had the day off of work, and Nanala had called in and quit. Danielle had understood that Nanala was stressed out for a while, so she believed that was why the girl had quit so suddenly. After a while, Nanala had finally decided she was going to tell Danielle everything.
"Danielle, I need you to sit down with me during lunch. We need to talk," Nanala said, and Danielle nodded.
Danielle was worried that Nanala was mad at or, or maybe the girl was sick and needed her help with something. She hoped there was nothing wrong with the girl, but there really wasn't much she could do. Nanala was a witch, and there really wasn't anything special about Danielle. She was just a normal human, and she knew that very well.
Nanala was worried about telling her friend. After contemplating for a while, Nanala decided to make a special lunch for Danielle to talk to her. One of Danielle's favorite foods were sandwiches, so Nanala decided to make italian beef sandwiches for the girl. By the time the food was done, Nanala could practically feel her nerves in her toes.
"Henry, Dani, food is ready!" Nanala exclaimed, and she heard people walking that way.
Nanala quickly fixed Henry a plate before setting it down in front of him. Henry quietly ate, smiling to himself as he tasted the flavored meat.
"Nanala, what did you need to talk to me about?" Danielle asked, causing Nanala to frown.
"Well, I didn't tell you last night, but yesterday I was put in a position with the Avengers. All of them supported me --aside from Thor, since he wasn't there, but they all wanted me to be a part of the team. Even though I had a few choice words with Fury, he still placed me in the Avengers," Nanala said, causing Danielle to smile.
"That's great, Nala, you're an Avenger. You can save the world, and make it a better place," Danielle replied, but Nanala simply frowned.
"Well, I guess, but there's one more thing," Nanala murmured, and Danielle cocked an eyebrow.
"What is it?" Danielle asked, looking over at her friend.
"They want Henry and I to move into the tower with them. I told Stark I'd talk to you, before he decided to send you a letter ratting me out. If you would rather we stayed here with you, that's fine. I want to do what is best for you, even if that means staying here," Nanala said, causing Danielle to quickly shake her head.
"No, absolutely not. You're not staying here. You need to go and live in the tower with them. You're a superhero now, Nala. It's better for you if you live there, where you're closer to the other heroes when you're needed. Please, don't do anything on my accord. Do everything you can that will help you, not me. I mean, yes, I will miss you, but I need you to help the world and yourself. Besides, I can always call you or see you whenever you're not busy, and--" Danielle rambled, causing Nanala to cut her off.
"So, you want me to just pack up and leave you here alone?" Nanala asked, and Danielle nodded.
"Yes! You need to go!" Danielle exclaimed,"I will stay here and continue on with my life, and you will go and work as a superhero with your adorable little boy. Besides, he'll be a superhero one day too, so it's best if he's around others to help him learn to be a hero like his mother," Danielle said, and Nanala smiled sadly.
"Are you sure, because I can always tell Stark I'm staying here and--" Nanala began, but Danielle cut her off.
"No, and you better start packing, otherwise I'm going to call Mr. Stark and tell him--" Danielle began, but this time Nanala cut her off.
"I'm going! I'm going! Let me finish my lunch first!" Nanala retorted, and Danielle simply laughed.
While Nanala ate, she and Danielle worked on the email of things for Ms. Potts. Nanala didn't want to leave anything out of the list, so she had decided Danielle needed to help her with it. Besides, sometimes Nanala didn't know what certain muggle things were named, so Danielle was there to tell her exactly what she was needing to put on the list.
When Nanala was about halfway through her list, she recieved a call from Stark himself. He told her to send clothing sizes and such for Ms. Potts; that he planned to have the woman pick up clothes, bedding, and other essentials as well. He only wanted Nanala to bring the most important things for herself and Henry.
"You heard the man, only bring what you absolutely need. He expects you to be there by tomorrow, no later than dinner time," Danielle said, and Nanala sighed.
"I guess you can help me while Henry naps," Nanala replied, causing Danielle to nod.
Nanala and Danielle packed all of Nanala's witchy stuff; including potions, books, and other essentials. She also packed pictures and other things she had left from the wizarding world and of Henry or Danielle.
Once Nanala was packed, Danielle helped her bring everything out to Danielle's car. Nanala planned to spend all of the next day with Danielle before she moved in with the Avengers. She wasn't going to leave her best friend without at least one last day to spend together. Nanala knew how it felt to feel like she was left behind and forgotten, so she didn't want to make Danielle feel the same way. One way or another, Nanala planned to have Danielle in her life forever...
