Over the next few months, Nanala worked with Pepper and Laura to come up with the perfect wedding. Bucky had given her full control, other than his tuxedo. Tony took care of all expenses, and he was the one to take Clint and Bucky out to get tuxedos. Bucky had decided to have Tony and Sam as his groomsmen. Nanala had chosen Lila as her bridesmaid, and Pepper as her maid of honor.

"We need to get your hair done, before we put your dress on." Pepper commented, and Nanala nodded.

They had decided to have the wedding before Nanala gave birth, since everyone knew it would take a lot longer for Nanala and Bucky to get married if they waited until after she had the baby. Nanala had chosen Henry to be the ring bearer, and Morgan was going to be the flower girl.

"Lila, do you need help with your hair?" Nanala asked, and the young girl nodded.

Nanala fixed Lila's hair, as Pepper worked wonders on Nanala's. Once their hair was done, Laura put some simple makeup on the girl, before Pepper, Aunt May, and Wanda helped the girl into her dress. Wanda had shown up for the wedding, and Nanala couldn't be anymore happy. Wanda was looking better, and everything seemed to be going into place.

Once all of the girls were ready, Aunt May and Laura went out to their seats. They also helped make sure everything was ready for when the wedding was to start. As the other girls waited with Nanala, they heard a knock on the door. Wanda went to the door and opened it to reveal James.

"You look amazing." James complimented, and Nanala smiled.

"Thank you, James." She replied, giving his hand a squeeze.

"Could I talk to you a moment alone?" James asked, and Nanala nodded.

Wanda, Lila, and Pepper stepped out for a moment. Pepper went to collect Morgan, to make sure the girl was ready for her flower girl duties.

"Nala, I am so happy for you," He began, grabbing her hand,"When I first came to this universe, there was a small part of me that hoped you were still waiting for me. I was pining over you for a while, and I will admit I was jealous of you and Bucky. It hurt to hear that you two were engaged, and it hurt when you announced you were pregnant with his baby," He said, causing Nanala's heart to skip a beat,"but I've slowly started to come to terms with it. I've decided that I'm going to find myself a girlfriend, finally get over my feelings for you." He finished, and Nanala smiled.

"That's so good to hear, James, you have no idea," She replied,"I never wanted to hurt you, but I'm happy you've started getting past it," She added,"Are Sirius and Remus helping you find a girlfriend?" She asked, making him smirk.

"Nah," He answered,"They're too busy exploring each other."

"What?! Are you serious?!" She exclaimed, and he nodded.

"Very." He replied, making her almost squeal with happiness.

"I always knew they were meant to be," She commented, making him laugh,"Just like I know that there's a certain brunette outside this room that would be perfect for you." She added, causing his eyes to widen.

"Nanala, I--" He began, but she cut him off.

"Wanda's a great girl, James, and I know you'll just love her. Besides, you and her brother look scary alike, so you two will get along very well, especially with your joking natures." She said, making the boy smile.

Soon, James had to go, so Nanala could finish getting ready. When James was sitting out with Harry, he glanced over and seen Wanda and Pietro sitting near them. Wanda and James made eye contact, and the girl blushed. Pietro scowled, but his eyes widened when he seen James and realized that they looked alike. Two seats were open next to James, so Pietro grabbed his sister and sped them over.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Pietro, and this is my sister Wanda." Pietro said, and James smiled.

"Nice to meet you both, I'm James, and this is my son Harry." He replied, causing the two siblings to smile.

Waiting for the wedding to start, James and the siblings talked about whatever came to mind. Sirius and Remus watched them, smiling to themselves when they realized the girl fancied James, and it seemed James would definitely fancy the girl—if he didn't already.

Soon, the wedding started, and James watched as the girl he had been in love with married another man. He could feel a slight tug at his heart, but he didn't let it show. He didn't expect the girl next to him to grab his hand and help him relax. She looked up at him, and when their eyes met, he could tell that she had understood that he was hurting, and she was trying to help him—something he now planned to do for her.

"W-would you maybe want to go on a date with me, maybe in a couple weeks or something?" James asked, feeling completely unsure and a little embarrassed.

"I'd like that." Wanda replied, giving the boy a smile.

James felt his heartbeat speed up, and when he looked up from his seat where everyone was eating after the ceremony, he seen Nanala giving him a subtle smile. He had a feeling she knew Wanda was going to agree. Honestly, he wanted to thank Nanala for helping him, even after he admitted that he wished she didn't marry Bucky and had chosen him instead.

Life wasn't all about happiness and daydreams, but it wasn't all about sadness and nightmares either. Yes, life is full of twists and turns, some good and some bad, but at the end of the day, the way life turns out is the way it was meant to. Sometimes, it takes a lot longer for a person to figure out just when their life is right where they want it to stay...
