Over the weeks of learning how to live like a muggle, she was able to buy quite a bit more clothes and many of the things she needed for her baby. She still hadn't figured out what had happened to her or anything, but she was still working on getting answers. Her coworker, Danielle, had taught her how to use a phone and laptop, so Nanala was quite caught up when it came to most of the muggle technology. She wasn't amazing at any of it, but she knew the basics. She could text, call, and google things, which was mostly what she needed. Everything else was somewhat hard for her, and she needed more time to figure it out.

As time went on, Nanala was becoming more and more disheartened with finding answers. She was sad, and her belly was growing. Her baby would be born without his father, and she had no idea how to find him. Besides, even if she did, he was sixteen the last time she seen him, by now he'd be thirty one. She doubted he'd even want her anymore, or want anything to do with her child, especially since she was still only seventeen. She often times had to lie about her birthday, but she learned to deal with it. If she didn't lie, she would be questioned and probably put in a mental ward and she didn't want that.

"Hey, Nanala, I know you don't seem to know much about things these days, but I really think I found something you'd like. You like books, right?" Danielle asked, causing Nanala to nod.

"Yes, I spent most of my childhood reading, especially with my best friend, Rem--Remi," She replied, deciding to make up a name, since she didn't know how come Remus's name was.

"Here," Danielle said, passing a heavy box to Nanala,"I bought these for you when I went to Books A Million the other day. It's the complete series, so I hope you like them," She added, and Nanala smiled.

"I'm sure I'll love them. I'll start reading the first one tonight," Nanala replied, before taking the box out of it's brown paper wrapping.

Nanala's eyes widened when she seen the title on the front of the case of books; Harry Potter. The case was decorated, and her heart almost dropped when she realized the case looked like the Hogwarts Express, and the books formed a picture of Hogwarts. Looking down at the bottom, she read the numbers in order. Each number was in gold, and was written rather fancy like. Turning to Danielle, Nanala faked a smile and pulled the girl into a hug.

"Thank you, I'm going to love them," Nanala said, and Danielle smiled.

"I hope so. Once you finish the first book, we can start discussing them, if you want," Danielle replied, causing Nanala to nod.

"Yes, I'd like that," Nanala answered, though she wasn't sure how to feel about any of it.

"Oh, once you read them, the first five movies have already come out. We can totally go watch them if you like the books, and then we can go and see the premiere of the last two when they finally come out," Danielle rambled, and Nanala simply nodded.

Luckily for Nanala, the work day ended soon enough, and she was able to go home for the day. Nanala was currently sixteen weeks pregnant, meaning her bump was visible and sometimes in the way. So, after changing into pajamas, so sat down on her couch, threw a blanket over her legs, and curled up with the first Harry Potter book. The book was titled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. When she opened to the first chapter and read The Boy Who Lived, her heart seemed to skip a beat. Who was Harry, and what did the book mean by the boy who lived?

'Mr. and Mrs. Dursley of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were normal, thank you very much.'

Nanala was confused by the way the book started out. If the book was about Harry Potter, who were the Dursleys?-She wondered. Sighing, she continued the story until she finally came to the first lines that mentioned Harry Potter. As she continued on in the story, she learned that Petunia was Lily Evans sister. She almost cried when she realized Harry was Lily and James's son; meaning he had moved on when she left. As she continued to read, she felt herself become more and more distraught, realizing James and Lily were dead, and that He- Who- Shall- Not- Be- Named was the one who killed them. Well, since she now knew all of it was a story to the place she was in now, she realized she could say the dark wizard's name, Voldermort, the name even felt like acid when thinking about saying it.

'Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi'  The quote had to be read backwards to know what it meant, I show not your face but your hearts desire.

The mirror of erised, something she knew Harry shouldn't have found. She cried when she realized Harry had seen his parents in the mirror, but she was confused when Harry mentioned the bracelet his father wore. The bracelet was black with a silver pendant, which she knew almost immediately what it was, but obviously not many others did. She wanted to know more, and she couldn't just let it go with a grain of salt.

When she came upon the character of Draco Malfoy, she wasn't too excited. She found out that Draco was the son of Lucius and Narcissa, meaning Draco was her nephew. She frowned at the way Draco treated Harry, as well as how he treated Ron and Hermione. Her eyes widened when she realized Ron was a Weasley, meaning Molly had more children. As she continued to read, she found out the twins were named Fred and George, and Ginny was the youngest; meaning Molly finally got the girl she always wanted.

Nanala had finished the first book within a few hours, and she couldn't believe what she had read. Her heart was shattered at the fact that James had moved on to the one girl Remus swore James didn't like anymore. She was also disappointed to see that Remus and Sirius weren't in the books, and she was confused when she also didn't read about Peter either. She wasn't surprised to know that Snape was upset over Lily, but she was disappointed that James had even let Snape know where he lived. Snape was a death eater, and he put Harry in danger.

Obviously there were quite a few things that Nanala didn't know, but she was determined to keep reading over the next few days. She had to make sure to rest and eat, of course, but she was going to read the stories from front to back and finally get answers to what she didn't know...
