The night before the meeting made Nanala's stomach feel uneasy. She was terrified with what could possibly happen to her and Henry if she answered a question even remotely wrong. Anything could happen, and she was not ready for any bad outcomes.
Once she had put Henry to bed for the night, Nanala spent over an hour packing things she needed to bring. She decided to use her bag with the extension charm on it, so she could pack everything in one bag. She put her broom in the bag, along with a couple of books for the team to read. She packed a history book, a book about quidditch, and a book about creatures in the Wizarding World. She would've brought the childhood books she had gotten for Henry, but they weren't originals from the Wizarding World, they were books Danielle had purchased on the internet.
Once she had gotten everything together, she decided to go to bed. She tossed and turned the entire night, not being able to get comfortable or feel tired whatsoever. By the time Henry woke up at seven, Nanala had barely gotten a wink of sleep. Her eyes were heavy, but her stomach was so full of butterflies, she really couldn't feel the tiredness that was definitely coursing through her.
"Mummy, we go bye-bye, now?" Henry asked, almost as soon as he had woken up.
"No, we have to dress first, and stop somewhere for Mummy to get an energy drink," She replied, and he giggled.
Nanala dressed Henry in a pair of black pants and a Gryffindor shirt with red Lightning McQueen shoes, before she dressed herself in a pair of black skinny jeans, a red v-neck top, and a pair of black booties. Once her hair was fixed and in a high ponytail, she tried to fix Henry's. At times like this, she wished her son didn't have his father's hair.
After getting ready, Nanala brought Henry to a small convenience store. She grabbed herself an energy drink, and she grabbed a bottle of chocolate milk for Henry. She then walked herself and her son to Stark Tower, which seemed to be completely fixed, and only had a large 'A' on the building. She figured now that it was the Avengers Tower, instead of just Stark Tower. Besides, being only Stark Tower made Tony Stark seem even more conceited, maybe more so than he normally was.
As soon as the two arrived, Nanala went to the front desk to ask for Stark. Moments later, Captain America had come down to get her and Henry. They were brought to an elevator and taken a few floors up to a meeting room. When Nanala and Henry entered the meeting room, Nanala seen that there were two boxes of donuts sitting at the table.
"Come, take a seat," Tony said, motioning to the seat between him and Hawkeye.
Nanala walked timidly over to the seat and sat down. Henry sat in her lap, and he stared at everyone with a cautious glare. Everything was silent for a moment, and a bit awkward if Nanala was honest, but the silence was ended by Tony clearing his throat.
"I got donuts for breakfast, and there's coffee and milk, but obviously you two don't need drinks right now," He commented, and Nanala stiffly nodded.
Tony and Clint opened the boxes and pushed them in front of Nanala and Henry. Henry's eyes widened as he stared at the breakfast in front of him. He hadn't really had donuts before, but he could tell from looking at them, that the donuts were definitely amazing. Seeing his eyes widen, Clint, Tony, and Steve laughed quietly; not wanting to deter the boy's happiness.
"Mummy, can I have one?" Henry asked quietly, and Nanala nodded.
"One at a time," She replied, causing the boy to grin.
With an excited giggle, the boy lent forward and grabbed a chocolate donut with sprinkles on it. He then grabbed a pink donut with sprinkles on it and handed it to his mother.
"Mummy eat," He said, and she smiled.
Once Henry and Nanala had a donut, the donuts were passed around for everyone else. Henry seemed to eat his as fast as possible, because by the time Nanala was half finished and everyone had finally gotten their own donut, Henry was reaching for the boxes to get another one. This time, Henry grabbed a chocolate donut with pudding in the middle. When he seen the pudding, he gasped and showed Nanala.
"Look, Mummy, it's bleeding," He said, causing everyone to laugh.
"No, that's pudding. The donuts don't bleed," Natasha replied, and Henry giggled.
By the time everyone was finished, Heney had become a little restless. He hated sitting in one place for a long time. He was an active child, and Nanala was surprised he even sat still to eat two donuts.
"Mummy, I wanna pway!" He cried, causing Nanala to sigh.
"Jarvis, have Ms. Potts bring a laptop in here for Henry to watch cartoons," Tony said outloud, which confused Nanala.
"Right away, sir," She heard, and she frowned a bit.
"That's Tony's A.I., he pretty much runs the tower, and can do just about anything. He knows or can find out anything, and he answers to the whole team," Steve said,"I was confused when I first heard Jarvis, too," He added, and Nanala nodded.
"You've never heard of an A.I.? What year are you from?" Tony asked jokingly, causing Nanala to bite her lip.
"Um," She trailed off slightly,"nineteen sixty," She replied, and she watched eyes widen around the room.
Before anyone could ask anymore questions, a knock was heard, before a redhead came into the room. She carried a laptop into the room, along with a pair of headphones.
"He likes Criminal Minds and Paw Patrol," Nanala told Ms. Potts, and the woman nodded.
Ms. Potts put on Netflix so Henry could watch Criminal Minds, as the others decided to finally start on the meeting...
