Nanala opened the door with an emotionless face, but her lips immediately turned into a frown when she seen Captain America, Thor, and the rest of the Avengers standing at her door. Crossing her arms, she glared at the two blondes that stood behind Tony Stark.
"You should let us in. We're missing shawarma to see if you're really as magical as Capsicle is claiming," Tony said, causing Nanala to roll her eyes.
"I don't want you guys in here, and I also don't want you to see if I'm magical," Nanala retorted,"If that's all, than you can leave," She added, going to close the door.
"Not so fast, sweetheart," Tony commented, as he placed his hand on the door to keep her from closing it.
Before Nanala could force the door closed with wandless magic, Henry came running into the room.
"There!" Thor exclaimed, causing everyone to jump,"That's the shapeshifter child," He said, causing Nanala to frown.
"They're called metamorphagus children, Thor. He's a metamorphagus," Nanala retorted, before her eyes widened when she realized what she had just said.
"Now I know you're magic, and I also know that term was in the Harry Potter books, so I'm actually surprised to know they're real," Tony commented, and Nanala frowned.
"Leave. Now," Nanala spat, but Tony simply shoved the door open wider.
When Henry had gotten a good look at one of the men in the group of superheros, he laughed with excitement, and changed his features to look like the man.
"Barton," Tony called, getting the man's attention,"It's a mini Hawkeye," He added, pointing to Henry.
"Pull out your magic stick and show them what you can do, my lady," Thor said, and Nanala simply groaned.
There wasn't any way for her to get out of the situation now, so she simply pulled out her wand.
"Multicorfors," Nanala murmured, turning Thor's cape pink,"It's a magic wand, not a magic stick. Get it bloody right, you twit," She added, as Tony laughed slightly.
"Great, another Loki," Natasha murmured, shaking her head.
"I love it; a magic wand. I've never seen a witch with a wand before. Does that mean you have a flying broom, too?" Tony asked jokingly, but Nanala nodded.
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I do," She retorted,"I just haven't used it since I moved here," She added quickly, hoping to make her seem less like a threat to a team of superheroes.
"Well, you two need to come to Stark tower soon; once it's fixed up, and we can talk more about your powers. We'll need to talk to a few people, but I have a feeling you might be a little more important here than you think," Tony commented, as Steve nodded.
"Will you turn my cape back to red?" Thor asked, and Nanala merely nodded and muttered the words, turning Thor's cape red once more.
"You can do magic with and without your wand?" Clint asked, causing Nanala to nod.
"I'm one of the very few that ever learned how to do wandless magic almost perfectly," She replied,"Henry and I are the only ones who can do this type of magic though,"She added, deciding not to elaborate any further.
"Well, are you two hungry?" Tony asked, causing Nanala to shrug,"Great, than you're both coming with us for shawarma. Go get your shoes on," He said, letting himself into Nanala's flat.
Nanala slipped on a pair of flat, and placed a pair of shoes on Henry's feet, before Tony practically dragged her and her son out of her flat.
"Your apartment looks like it was never damaged. Did you fix it?" Steve asked, looking down at Nanala.
"Yes, I did. You'd be surprised what a couple of spells and charms can do," She replied, a smile on her face.
Nanala had never even heard of shawarma before, so she was really confused about what it was when she walked inside. According to Tony though, none of the Avengers knew what it was, so they were all trying it for the first time.
"How do you keep your son from changing his appearance in public?" Clint asked, looking over at Nanala.
"He doesn't see them long enough to change his appearance, and I also keep a charm on him when I go out so regular people can't see him change. You could because we were at home, if we hadn't been at home, you wouldn't have been able to see him change. Only other people with magic could see him change," Nanala explained, as she brushed her son's curls out of his face.
"Does he know how to do your type of magic yet?" Natasha asked, causing Nanala to nod.
"He's born with the magic, but he won't learn how to properly use it until he's older. He's got to be mature enough to learn, otherwise it'll be pointless to teach him," Nanala answered, shrugging slightly.
"Aren't you afraid he might hurt someone with his magic if he doesn't learn how to control it?" Bruce asked, and Nanala could tell he was just asking based on what seemed to be a doctor's perspective.
"Accidental magic happens to all young wizards and witches that are born with our type of magic. Henry has thrown many stuffed animals and glasses already, but he doesn't have enough power to actually hurt anyone. He has to learn more magic before he could actually hurt someone. Besides, I'd never let him use his magic for bad, because I wouldn't dare use my own for bad," Nanala said, and Bruce nodded, accepting her answer.
Nanala hadn't given away much, and Natasha could easily tell, and so could everyone else for the most part. They didn't ask her much though, knowing she'd eventually be at the tower where they could ask her whatever they wanted. If she passed their questions, she may even become a part of the team, but if she didn't, she'd end up in a cell like Loki...
