Bucky was running away from the past, and he didn't see anything good coming into his future. He was scared to let people in, since he didn't know their intentions. Every noise, every voice, and every movement made him worry that HYDRA found him once again. He didn't expect Harlow and Jodie to make such an impact on his life.
Harlow was a kind soul, as was her adopted daughter, Jodie. Harlow didn't have many friends in her town, but she was happy with how her life was going. She worked in a small bakery four out of the seven days in a week, and she made sure she was always free on weekends for Jodie. Jodie was considered weird by many people because she was so smart, which upset Harlow, but Harlow loved her with all of her heart. The two girls had so much compassion, so when they seen the man in apartment 101, they knew they wanted to help him.
