It's around 7 in the evening… Alec came home from work pretty late today.. He wasn't busy but he was a bit disturbed.. When he entered the house he heard a rustling sound from the kitchen. He closed his eyes knowing the other person is a bit moody today.. He breathed out while looking at Magnus who was preparing batter for dinner… to alec's surprise magnus smiled on looking at alec.. Alec smiled back and walked inside the kitchen…
As usual Alec hugged him from behind and rested his forehead on Magnus's shoulder… Magnus smiled and nudged a little..
Magnus :not in the mood to come home earlier ?? (he asked a bit disappointedly) or not in the mood to talk to me anymore?
Alec : I thought you were still mad at me (
He breathed, brushing his finger on Magnus' cheeks..)
Magnus :no, I am not … (he said faking his smile)
Alec :if that was true it won't be pancakes tonight.. (he said looking at the batter and straightened up)
Magnus stopped his work and switched off the stove …
Magnus :I am not mad.. I am just upset (he said and looked at Alec behind.. Alec knows both have the same meaning in Magnus's dictionary.. So Alec just gave a slow node and walked across the kitchen counter..)
alec!!!! (he called alec who stopped there by closing his eyes not to start again ..)
Alec :magnus not again!!! (he said turning around and looking at magnus)
Magnus :he just wants to apologise alec!!!what are you afraid of? Why are you so stubborn…? (he asked looking at alec)
Alec : Your Dad's words made me stubborn… apologising for what he said 10 years ago doesn't change anything… it's gone, the days I suffered and days I lost are not gonna come back .. (he argued back because those words are still stabbing him like a rusted knife )
Magnus :it's never too late to apologize alec… we both are examples for that… sometimes you forget that he is the reason that we are being together right now.. He wants us to get married (he said In anger )
Alec :And you forget that he is the reason for our 10 years separation.. (he raised his voice)
Magnus : It's not only him.. It's you and the trust issues you had me !!! (he said and immediately regretted what he said… alec looked at him by holding his words back )
Alec : This is what I am afraid of.we promised that we won't talk about our past (he said painfully , his lips were trembling) .I agree I made a mistake in the past… I am still regretting it…atleast after this I don't want to bring anyone between you and me… that's why I am not interested in such topics..I kept on avoiding this… He is your Dad and that's your home..you can go and be with him how much you want.. How long you want…I am not stopping you … but at the end of the day don't forget that you are mine too.. (he said controlling himself..) Please don't bring this topic between us..I am not that strong to take your distance again (he said looking at magnus and left the kitchen)
"can't you shut your shitty mouth magnus?" he cursed himself under his breath….
After 15 minutes Magnus came out of the kitchen.. For magnus he is trying hard to patch them up.. Because he wants to free one person from guilt and he thought the other person deserves a proper apology… but nothing is working.. He came out to the dining table with 2 plates of pancakes in his hands.. He placed it on the dinner table and looked at Alec Who was drinking Coke while watching TV.. He is equally upset…Magnus can't keep himself shut when Alec becomes this much silent..
