Alec woke up with heavy eyes.. He rubbed his eyes continuously.. not knowing that he is still sleeping in his room in the Fire Station… he yawned and looked at his watch all puzzled … it's around 11 pm… he was shocked and jumped off from the bed..
"shit!!! Seriously??" he checked outside on opening his room's window..it's dark out there..
"shit!!! Shit" he said and checked on his phone, he didn't get any calls or texts from his magnus .. The last text from Magnus was deleted by Magnus itself …
"God what happened to you alec!!! " he cursed himself .. He still felt a little dizzy but he ignored and shook his head… he noticed that his shirt was thrown on the headboard of the bed… he looked at it suspiciously because he didn't remember like he slept by taking his shirt off.. Actually he doesn't even remember when he slept…? And how did he sleep?
He put on his shirts and took his bike key…when he went outside, the night shift fighters were already there on their duty, having fun and gossiping, some of them waving friendly on looking at alec … he waved back and went quickly to the parking area and he started his bike, throughout the way he was trying to remember what happened and how he slept this long .. But he couldn't recollect anything … he went to his home thinking about that…
Once he reached his home, he stood there outside the main door.. He took a deep breath before getting inside because the lights were already off.. Only the living room night lamp is on… he saw that through the window… he opened the door and sneaked in..
There is no sign of Magnus anywhere. It's around 11.30 he thought the other person might be in deep sleep… he opened the bedroom door gently and silently… he saw Magnus sleeping on his side facing the wall.. He was already curled around and buried his hands in between his thighs and slept peacefully like a little insecure kid … Alec stood in front of him looking at his sleeping husband..
He frowned on seeing the pill box on the nightstand.. He took it quickly and checked it nervously.. It's a sleeping pill … he got terrified and placed his hand over Magnus' forehead.. To his goodness he is warm.. He swallowed hard and shook Magnus by holding his shoulder… but the other person wasn't responding.. He sat on the floor and saw the label on the pill box.. It's a 30 count container and he started to count the tablets..throughout the count he forgot how to breathe…
He breathed out in relief when he finished counting… 28 more tablets are still there… so magnus took 2… but that's not a relief for him.. An emotion of guilt and culpability took him over all of sudden..he kneeled in front of Magnus and took his hands, securing his hands over Magnus's…
"You are the one who sleeps first , you always sleep like a dead man…sometimes if I ask you, did you want me or your sleep then you will answer me like a savage.. That you want your beauty sleep more than me .. But today you took pills to get some sleep.. I made you like this… I am pressuring you that much.. Such a bad husband I am.. "Alec said, rubbing his index finger over Magnus's nose tip. His eyes get wet instantly..
Alec : if it's bothering you that much.. If my job stresses you that much then I don't want it Magnus.. I can't watch you like this…I can't keep pressuring you like this… i fall in love with you because you are full of life even on bad days, there is spark in you …now look at you.. Look What I have done to you.. . I don't want to take that lite from you magnus … I don't want to be your downfall .. You are right It's time for me to choose… (he said and whipped his tears with his lengthy sleeve..) but one thing magnus.. Please don't hate me , I want you to love me till my last breath… for the past 2 days your silence scares the hell out of me magnus … (he said and looked at magnus without letting go of his hands )
