I woke up in a startle as I heard a loud thud followed by a groan, "Andrew?" I whispered out in the dark, rubbing the tiredness out of my eyes, "you okay?"
Andrew hummed in response, "I'm good, just feel off the bed."
I furrowed my brows, "you need a hand getting back up here?" I questioned.
Andrew just hummed again, "I'm good here, floor's cold."
I raised a brow in confusion before scooting over to his side of the bed and looking down at the floor, only to find him laid down and hugging his pillow.
I pulled my legs out of the covers and moved down on the floor next to him, "are you hurt?" I questioned worriedly.
Andrew shook his head, sniffling slightly.
I furrowed my brows and reached my hand down towards his head, treading my fingers through his soft hair, which was slightly damp.
That led me to think of the reason he might be enjoying laying on the floor, so I moved the back of my hand to his forehead, feeling for a temperature, "babe, you're burning up."
Andrew shrugged and snuggled into his pillow, "I'm good."
"No you're not," I chuckled, wrapping my hands around his arms, "come on, let's get you up on the bed."
Andrew huffed as I helped him back up on the bed, pulling the covers back around him, "no," Andrew whined, "it's too warm," he complained.
I sighed softly, "I know love, but you have to break you fever somehow."
Andrew huffed and laid back down on the bed, his hand reaching towards me, pulling me to him.
I chuckled softly, "would you like some water, love?" I whispered to him as I brushed his hair softly with my fingers, "something to eat maybe? Soup?"
Andrew shook his head, "maybe some tea?" He whispered questioningly.
I nodded, "of course," I said instantly, "I'll be right back," I said as I pressed a kiss to his boiling forehead.

Once the tea for Andrew was hot and ready, I poured some in his favorite mug and made my way back to the bedroom, where Andrew was laying down with his head smushed under his pillow.
"Here's your tea, darling," I whispered softly, assuming the reason for his hiding spot would probably be an headache forming.
Andrew hummed appreciatively and came out of under the covers, "thank you, love," he whispered back, taking the mug in his hands and blowing some air over the hot drink.
I sat down next to him on the bed and wrapped a thick blanket around his shoulders, "how are you feeling love?"
Andrew shrugged, "I'm tired," he mumbled into his tea, "my head hurts."
I nodded, "I figured, your hiding spot kinda gave it away," I chuckled.
Andrew furrowed his brows, "my hiding spot?" He questioned confusedly.
I grinned, "pillow."
Andrew chuckled, "ah," he shook his head, "yeah, I guess it did."
I pressed my lips to his forehead gently, "you think you're gonna be sick, love?"
Andrew shook his head, "no, I don't really feel nauseous," he grinned up at me, "could you do me a small favor please?"
I nodded instantly, "anything."
Andrew cleared his throat, "could you stay home with me today?" He questioned softly, "I don't want to be alone."
I smiled softly at him and kissed his lips gently, "of course."

I woke up again in the morning to the sun shining on my face; I had already emailed my boss that I would not be able to come in at work today and she had told me not to worry and take care of my husband.
I turned to look at Andrew and found him laying down in what looked like an extremely uncomfortable position, with his arm sprawled over his face.
I reached my hand out and moved his hair out of his face to feel for a temperature; he was still warm, but definitely not as scorching hot as last night.
I started threading my fingers through his soft hair gently and his eyes fluttered open, "hi there, love," I whispered, "how are you feeling?"
Andrew yawned softly, "a bit better, thank you darling."
I nodded and kissed his hair gently, "what do you want to do, love?"
Andrew grinned up at me and squirmed his way into my arms, throwing his leg over my hips, his arm around my neck.
"Ah," he sighed, "perfect way to get better."
I chuckled and shook my head, "you're a dork."
Andrew smiled against my skin, "I'm your dork," he clarified.
"Damn right," I mumbled.
Andrew smiled up at me and kissed my cheek gently, "I love you."
I kissed his nose and laid his head on my chest, "I love you too, my dork."
