I, Teguma, have been tasked to investigate the sudden gathering of demons in a remote area, within a city park. With me, is Uranus and Neptune. Normally i would have taken flight and have gotten there much quicker, but the who senshi here cannot fly. So out of respect and safety, i stayed to the ground with them, so we can travel as not only as a group, but as a team.
The gilded cloak more or less molded into my martial arts gi, but added knee pads for a bit extra protection.
"You could be flying in the air and surveying the area, you know." Uranus commented.
"There are demons in the air, it would draw attention. Also, we should stick together as a group. It's best this way." I replied.
"Hmph, whatever..." uranus said.
I could tell that she really didn't care for my presence. I did, after all, defeat her quite easily and in front of her compatriots no less.
"I remember this street fondly.....remember dear? We would walk down this street with Hotaru and Setsuna to the park together." Said neptune.
"Yes, i remember it all too well. Hotaru would always get an ice cream cone from the vendor too." Uranus said with a smile.
"Daughter i assume?" I asked.
"Hotaru, yes. We adopted her after a series of unfortunate events. She's one of the most powerful senshi and its our job to keep her power in check. However, we love her as a daughter, rather than see her as a responsibility under duty." Neptune explained.
"And this Setsuna?" I asked.
"You could say she's a third mother to Hotaru, but relationship wise, she's the third wheel to put it bluntly." Neptune said.
"Well, when you say it like that, now i feel bad." Uranus said.
"I'm sure she's content with taking care of miss Hotaru." I said.
"Well, Hotaru is actually in college right now and often attends alongside the princess and advisors' daughter." Neptune said.
"I see, well thats great!" I said.
Suddenly, i felt a presence further down the road. The two accompanying me felt the same way and immediately stopped when i did.
Further up the road were a witch and three weasels, conversing amongst one another. The witch as old as young San is, with pale gray skin and dark gray witch raiments.
"You three are a joke, why did i summon you??" Hissed the witch.
"He wasn't alone! He had some cat man with him!" Said one weasel.
"Yes yes! We swear its a neko-mata of sorts!" Said another.
"No excuses! Pandora is expecting results and she's only getting excuses and empty-handedness!! You vermin better redeem yourselves, otherwise you'll be banished like that giant pig!!" She yelled before teleporting away.
The three would sigh, before looking up at us, jumps a bit, and then began to float.
"Sailor senshi...." hissed one of the weasels.
"And....a tengu??" Said another.
"Why aren't you serving lady pandora?!" Said another weasel.
"Because, she is evil and has turned us peaceful demons into sheer monsters!" I replied.
"That's right, she's bad news and is on our list to take out!" Said uranus, readying her sword.
"That's right, she's going to be defeated really soon." Said michiru, holding her mirror.
"Kamaitachi, i know you are demon of brutality and mischief, but even so, even you know this is wrong! Look at how their summoner is treating you!" I spoke up.
"Silence!" Said a weasel.
I was taken aback a bit.
"We were summoned to serve, and to please our master." Said one.
"Her scorn is warranted, we failed once already!" Said another.
"But we will give her the heads of the senshi and of a traitor tengu as recompense!" Said another weasel.
"So have at you!!" Said all three at once.
They began to spin around one another, forming a tornado.
"It saddens me that i cannot persuade you to going the path of good.....but i follow the path of my captain, and your path is crossing into ours!" I said, getting into a fighting stance.
Before I could even react or say anything, Sailor Neptune would raise her mirror and unleash a torrent of water. On contact with the tornado, the water was both flung all over the place and turned into mist, due to the weasels's blades.
"They're much too fast to hit them with water! They'll just turn it into mi-" i was the cut off by Sailor Uranus.
She rose her sword and quickly unleashed a blast of energy towards the tornado. If it would have hit them, it would have ended the fight instantly, however, i know these demons, they're much too crafty to be hit directly. As soon as the attack reached them, they dispersed quickly, and avoided the attack. They would immediately swoop in on Uranus before she could attack them again and began to cut her all over.
The poor girl was only able to guard poorly from their attacks as they gashed her up all over, sending blood all over the place.
"Haruka!!" Neptune yelled as she charged in and tried to blast the weasels with her water magic, only for them to evade the attacks and target her next.
Haruka would fall to her knee, bloodied and cut up.
"Grrr.....we can't....hit them...." uranus uttered.
I would do a sweep kick, sending a gust of wind under neptune, making her trip and fall to the ground. I would then launch a palm strike in the air and send another gust of wind at the weasels. This didn't hit them, but it did scatter them and make them disoriented enough to stop attacking Neptune, who would now be crawling to Uranus, fairly cut up herself, but not as bad.
"You're bleeding pretty bad...." Neptune said, using an handkerchief to wipe away the blood in uranus's face.
"The vermin have instant healing ointment......once we incapacitate them, we can get the ointment from them and heal your cuts." I said, staring down the weasels.
"As if we'd let you!" Said a weasel.
They would get riled up again and swarm after us.
"Miss uranus, i need you to strike when i give you an opening. Don't go overboard or you'll destroy the ointment they carry...." i whispered to her.
She nodded and stood up, shakily.
I would cup my hands and launch a dual palm strike, sending a ball of compacted air at the trio.
"What a pathetic attack!! We'll slice through that like its no-" said a weasel, right when it hit it with its sickle.
This caused a pulse of wind that stunned the weasels for a brief moment. Uranus would follow up with a blast from her sword and sent them flying into a nearby building.
I found it odd that they targeted the senshi first and not even attack me in the slightest. They did attack them first, but still....
Could it be part of the influence of the fog? My tengu brethren seemed to have been holding back, even seen tears in their eyes. What on earth is going on....
I would pluck the salve from each of the weasels. As i did, they began to turn into purplish mist and eventually would dissappear.
After patching up the girls, we would continue towards our destination.
