Chapter 55: Evil That Still Thrives

I, Teguma, would finally reach our destination, alongside the two senshi, Uranus and Neptune.

The park, or what's left thereof, was absolutely festering with demons. However, deeper in the crowd, there was seemingly a ringed formation, as if something was going on in the center.

"Let me get a better view." I said, as i unfolded my back wings and took flight.

From above, i seen some sort of abomination. It appeared to be a very muscular male with several, living, appendages growing out of him that's clearly not part of his original anatomy, which resembled Tamono and Katsumi's race. A mutant inarian? No, something much worse. A chimera inarian of sorts.

He was taking on opponents left and right, killing them and devouring pieces of them, which gave him a spike in power it would seem. Every so many he devoured, he'd mutate a bit more. His eyes were filled with glee and bloodlust, he was getting a high from all of this.

It was clear that if we didn't stop him now, he would grow into a much greater threat if given enough time.

I flew back down to the two and landed.

"We have a huge problem. The one at the center of all this, is an chimera inarian that's killing demons and feasting on their remains to gain strength." I said.

"This could grow into a bigger problem than the demons running amok." Neptune said.

"We have to stop this thing!" Uranus spoke up.

"I have a plan, but i need your full cooperation in order for it to work." I said.

"What's this plan of yours, bird man?" Uranus snarked.

I sighed in response.

"I'm still regarded as a demon, even though i haven't been influenced by the dark veil's fog and i don't serve Pandora in the slightest. I will join in the brawl and have their attention. I need you two to defeat all the demons without drawing their attention to you, while i fight. This way, he has no outlet to gain power from. Once you are done, we three will hit him all at once with everything we have. Any questions or objections?" I asked, looking at the two.

"I'm on board with the idea. Neptune?" Uranus said, looking at the sailor guardian.

"I am as well." Neptune said, with a slight nod and smile.

"Let us commence with the plan." I said, before taking flight.

I would soar above the demons, and prepared to land in front of the brute.

"Who's next? All y'all are doin is feeding me! I'll gut y'all all day if i have to!" He said before howling with laughter.

I would then land across from him.

"Why not have me as your opponent?" I said, getting into a stance.

The crowd would growl and murmur.

"That's one of the traitors to Pandora!" Said a demon.

"That tengu has sided with those senshi chicks!" Another said.

They would growl and chant things such as "kill him" , "rip him to pieces", and slew of other insults and demands.

The beast before me would wipe his mouth of demon blood, before smirking.

"A tengu being his own man....i can respect that. Word on the grapevine has it that you're in league with these senshi people and they just formed a separate group that's led by a particular individual that i hold a grudge with." he said.

"How did you find out so quickly??" I asked, rather surpised that word got out about this rather fast.

"Let me weave you a tale. Once upon a time, i was the top of the military division, in particular, the soldier part of the spectrum. One day, a kid with white hair came along, i put him through hell, killed some of his friends that decided to turn coat on me....and then this little whelp that's only a fourth my age, decides to kill me with a surprise burst in power!" He said with a clenched fist.

He must be referring to sir san, there's no doubt about that.

"Being defeated and killed, they seen me as trash, and threw my body to the demons inside the fog. Before they could fully devour my body, a man in a coat and hat approached me, turned the demons to dust, and offered me a deal i simply couldn't pass up. To serve him and give up my mortal shell, in exchange for absolute power. So, he gave me some purple lookin liquid, said it was his blood or some weird shit like that, and now....here i am....the new and improved Grimmer! I eat demons and gain their power! Sure i look fucked up, but now i have the power to mow down anyone that gets in my way. Especially ol Sanny boy! He's in for a torturing and a rousing game of rip apart the bastard!" He said as he howled in laughter.

"I will not allow such things! Sir San is noble and kind hearted! Though he may have his flaws, he still strives to fight evil no matter the odds! I shall be the one to put you back in the grave where you should have remained so that he doesn't have to deal with such a cretin like you again!" I shouted and charged at him.

"Pointless, bird man...." he said as he formed spikes on his right arm and a blade, then swung at my left.

I would then slide under the attack, sweep my legs to where i was in a crouching stance, then propelled myself with my legs, delivering a mighty upper cut to his jaw. He would stumble backwards and growl, spitting out a tooth, as i would use my wings to flap backwards and land to gain some distance from him.

I would feel a sudden burning pain on my forehead. I felt of it then looked at my hand. There was blood on it, his attack grazed me while i was sliding.

"Hahahah!! That was a solid hit, birdy boy! Gotta admit, i didn't expect any competency from the likes of you! I devoured a tengu hours ago and he wasn't nearly as strong as you." He said.

"Not one of my people!" I said with a growl and clenched fist. I already had to fight my own kind and witnessed their madness before their bitter end, now this monster has not only killed and devoured one, he absorbed their power!

He would sport a wicked smile as he grunted and groaned for a moment before a tengu wing spurted from his back with a burst of blood.

"I told you....i eat demons and their power.... i wanna see the look on his face when he sees me tear into you....so I'mma just break you for now..." he said with the most sinister tone.
