All three of us separated fighting our own target. I chose Uranus, since I had a score to settle with her for blasting me. I'm not one to bear a grudge, but that was uncalled for and hurt.
We stood there in silence, staring each other down. I sensed a great power from her, I should be careful.
"You're after young san? Do you not realize his goal is as noble as yours? You both want to save Tokyo and rid it of demons and fiends. Why go after him? " I said.
"He says that, but he caused all of this! He opened Pandora's box! " she said, getting in a stance.
"Have you thought that maybe, it was accidental? Or that maybe he was tricked? " I asked.
"No one just finds a cursed artifact, brings it home, and opens it by accident.... No one can be that dumb!" She said.
"What about tricked? " I asked.
"Like a jar can trick someone into opening it?" She said with a scoff.
"This world is a strange place, anything can happen. " I said.
"At any rate, if he's eliminated, all of this will be fixed! If I have to cut through you, so be it! " she said.
"Your own bloodlust has blinded you, fool. " I said, getting in my fighting stance.
She was about to use an attack, but I quickly compacted some air in my hands and fired a hollow shot at her. She smirked all cocky like, and swung her sword at the ball. However, she didn't know, but hollow shot is basically an explosive projectile of compacted air.
When her sword met the ball, it popped and caused her to recoil. This left her very vulnerable. I brought my wings forward and then, with all my might, backwards. This made me a living pile driving missile. I spiraled and decked her headfirst into her abdomen full force. This sent her flying into the adjacent building, making a rather large hole.
I cracked my neck and rolled my shoulders to work out the stiffness from the impact.
"So ignorant and arrogant at the same time.... " I said with my arms crossed.
The strength of this woman is fierce. However, i would have to shift tactics to keep her guessing, because surely since she's seen the effects of my attack, she won't be fooled again. Getting around that destructive sword is going to be a challenge. She has an advantage with it against me.
I then flew to where she was, and I was met with her struggling to get up. She was covered in dirt, bricks, glass, and other debris. My attack knocked the wind out of her, judging by her wheezing.
"Just stay down, you're in no position to fight. I won't let you harm san or his comrades.... " I said sternly.
"Go to hell you overgrown bird..... " she said standing weakly and spitting out blood.
"Stubbornness will get you nowhere. Only those who fight with a clear mind and humility can succeed." I said.
"Ya know.... I can see you're wearing a gi.....which means you're a man of martial arts. I know about martial arts.....I'm just as strong as any other man......how bout we fight like martial artists? No wind, no swords, just knuckles and skill.... Whaddya say? " she said she sheathed her sword and got into a stance.
I sighed in aggravation but, I gave in and indulged her. One doesn't turn down a martial artist's challenge.
She would shift into another stance and came at me with a mix of punches and kicks. I kept an eye on her movements and stayed on the defense, because I think her martial art style is pankration.
Pankration, a martial art that's a mix of boxing and wrestling. Meaning she might try to grapple me or put me in a hold. I'm sure i could break out of her holds, but I'm not one to underestimate my opponent. I myself trained in the art of the crane, as well as forms of akido and muay thai arts.
I have studied these arts from my master, years ago, who was a martial artist himself. Master Ken Yuun, was his name. I took intrigue in him during the days of being a tengu, despite my brethren poking fun at me for actually learning how to fight, due to tengus not being known for combat. He sadly died of an illness that swept the rural parts of Japan briefly. He was my mentor, my teacher, and a positive role model in my life.
Due to my training, my evasion and defending was able to keep up with uranus's attacks, blocking and side stepping her attacks, as well as evading her attempts of grappling me. I could tell she wasn't as trained up as i was and that her body wasn't as fit as most women who actively trained in martial arts are. Judging by her earrings, which were diamonds, she must have a fairly lavish lifestyle.
After observing young sailor uranus's fighting style, i found an opening. When she went for a grapple, aiming for my wrists every time i punched, that was my chance to counter.
I would throw a punch, as I've been doing, but this one was for bait. As soon as she tried to grab my wrist, i would counter it with a side chop with my opposite arm, taking her by surprise and striking her hand away. During that brief moment, i would curl that same hand from a chop to a fist, and would back fist strike her across the face. While she was stunned, i would go for a gut strike and a back flip kick to the chin. This would hit her so hard, it knocked her in the air and made her fall hard on her backside.
She got up, angry and determined to take me down. Her attacks became more aggressive, but more reckless. As she threw a punch, I sidestepped it and palm thrusted her in the chest plate, making her gasp for air as she fell down. I would try to chop at her neck to knock her out, but she predicted this and rolled out of the way.
"Why.....can't.... I.....HIT YOU!! " she said getting up and wiping the blood from her mouth.
"You had an advantage, but your cockiness and arrogance was your downfall.... Your fighting out of irritation and anger... and not only that, but you lack proper training and experience... " I said as I side kicked her through a wall.
She made an attempt to get up, but finally fainted. I walked over to her and gave her and sighed deeply.
"And that's what makes you an open book...." i said shaking my head.
Not so suddenly, I felt another presence behind me.
"I defended myself against her. She wouldn't come to reason. " I said.
"Oh I know, the queen is very upset with the outers." Said a female voice.
I turned around to greet the individual. Said individual was Sailor Venus.
"What is it you need? Surely you do not wish to fight me as well...." i asked, wanting peace, not more violence.
"No, the queen sent me to stop the conflict! This is all a huge misunderstanding, due to sailor mars's vision being misunderstood!" She exclaimed.
"A vision?" I asked curiously.
"Yes, I'll explain everything once we get to the castle. Please come with me there! You'll be safe, i swear!" She asked.
Though i had my doubts, i nodded and followed miss venus to this castle of hers.
