As soon as the four returned to Mitchell Mansion, Daniel wasted no time in guiding the girls upstairs to show them the bedrooms that would be their sanctuary during their stay. First, he led them to a nursery-like bedroom he had thoughtfully designed for Meher, a room that left Seher absolutely awestruck. It was a little girl's dream come true.

The room featured a charming cot bed with protective bars to ensure Meher's safety while she slept. A nanny cam was discreetly installed in the corner for added security. Colorful shelves displayed age-appropriate picture books, and the walls were painted in soothing lavender and white tones. Star-shaped lights dangled from the ceiling, casting a warm, golden glow. The curtains were adorned with tiny purple stars, and a wardrobe stood ready to house Meher's adorable clothes. There was even a shoe rack for her little booties and a delightful vanity fit for a princess, complete with a crown-shaped mirror and pretend makeup.

Seher couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the beauty of the room. It was the kind of space every mother wished to provide for her little girl. She was immensely grateful to Daniel, recognizing that her daughter would get to experience life's finer things, even if only for a short time. Turning to Daniel, Seher expressed her gratitude, "This is so beautiful."

Daniel simply smiled, his expression filled with gratitude or perhaps a touch of warmth that was hard to define. Meher, to the extent of her understanding, couldn't contain her excitement. She joyously bounced on her new cot bed, playfully dragged Liam to her vanity, and explored every corner of her new haven. To Liam's delight, this room was conveniently located right next to his, ensuring that his beloved "baby" would always be close.

Following this, Daniel guided Seher through a doorway within Meher's room, revealing that it connected directly to Seher's own room. This thoughtful design allowed her to easily check on Meher during the night or simply take comfort in knowing that her daughter was nearby.

Stepping into Seher's room, they discovered another beautifully decorated space, predominantly adorned in sophisticated grey with dashes of sunshine yellow-a coincidental match to Seher's favorite color. Seher was overjoyed as she took in the king-size bed, elegant yellow and grey curtains, touches of yellow decor, a vanity, a spacious walk-in closet, and a dreamy bathroom. Although her modest belongings couldn't nearly fill the expansive closet, she was genuinely content.

Seher expressed her gratitude to Daniel multiple times, prompting him to playfully silence her. With hearts full of appreciation, the four descended to enjoy dinner, marking the end of their first day together. Despite only having met that morning, the bond they'd formed made it feel like they'd known each other for decades. As they settled the children into their adorable nightwear after a refreshing bath, the two adults couldn't help but smile, cherishing the presence of each other in their lives. They may not have felt romantic affection, but the connection they shared was profound.

With smiles on their faces, Daniel, Seher, Liam, and baby Meher settled in for the night, filled with excitement for the adventures that lay ahead.

The sun cast its warm glow as routines and schedules took precedence on this new day. Seher, feeling a sense of responsibility, began her day with a peek into Meher's room, where the little one was slumbering peacefully, sprawled out like a starfish in her new cot bed.

Seher moved to freshen up, taking a quick shower before changing into one of her old kurtis from India, paired with trousers. She looked like an Indian college girl, donning her silver oxidized earrings and a protective kadha on her right hand. On her left wrist, she wore her trusty Titan watch, a timepiece that had been with her since her own college days in India. A touch of mascara, pink lip gloss, her favorite black bindi and a spritz of her favorite perfume completed her look. She couldn't help but acknowledge that she was putting in more effort than usual, but she pushed those thoughts aside, reluctant to delve into the reasons behind it.
