The atmosphere was fueled with emotions as Seher's sniffles grew lighter and she lunged from her seat into Maximilian's embrace, holding him tightly. "I love you so much," she murmured, her voice laden with emotion. Maximilian returned her embrace, pulling her closer. "I love you too, baby. You can talk to me about anything. Don't keep these thoughts bottled up. We're partners, through the good times and the bad," he whispered reassuringly, feeling her nod against his neck as she held him tightly.

Maximilian's phone rang, displaying Victor's name on the screen. He answered the call on speakerphone, addressing his brother, "Serg, have you had dinner?" Seher smiled, touched by this man's thoughtfulness. Throughout their time together, she had noticed Maximilian's unwavering commitment to ensuring his brother's well-being, whether it was through texts, messages via Beatrice, or phone calls. It was a childhood habit he had told her about, always looking out for his younger brother's needs.

Victor's voice resonated through the phone, assuring his elder brother that he had eaten and conveying his decision not to return to the penthouse that night due to feeling unwell. He expressed concern about potentially passing on his cold and advised against bringing Meher to their home to prevent her from getting sick. Seher let out a soft sigh of contentment against Maximilian's shoulder, reflecting on the special bond Meher shared with both the Romanov men, the best father and uncle a child could wish for.

It was clear to Seher that Victor held her daughter in the same high regard as Maximilian did. He cherished every moment spent with his niece and often complained about his inability to see her more frequently when she was at their office building. Despite occasional playful arguments with his brother over her visits, Victor's love and affection for her were undeniable. His decision to prioritize her well-being by staying away while feeling under the weather was a testament to his deep sense of responsibility and care.

As Seher observed the genuine affection and protection provided by Maximilian, Victor, and Konstantin, she couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude. Their unwavering commitment to Meher's happiness and safety underscored the importance of familial love and support. Their collective effort to embrace both of them as cherished members of their family filled her heart with warmth and appreciation.

"You truly are amazing, Victor," Seher couldn't help but express, her voice brimming with admiration and gratitude. "Truly amazing."

"Hello, Solnyshko (sunshine)," Victor's voice greeted through the phone, though it sounded somewhat congested, catching her attention. Concern laced her tone as she remarked, "You don't sound well. Why are you going so far away? Come here. This house is spacious enough. We'll ensure Meher doesn't catch an infection. Come over. I will prepare some kahwa and khichdi for you."

(Kahwa tea, a Kashmiri green tea, is not only a flavorful beverage but also offers a bundle of health benefits for digestion and sore throat. Khichdi is a dish in South Asian cuisine made of rice and lentils with numerous variations.)

A chuckle escaped Victor's lips, and he replied, "Sunshine, I appreciate your offer, and I must say, I would have enjoyed the company of a beautiful, charming Indian nurse, tending to me. However, fate seems to have favored my grump of a brother this time. And I've been graced with the topmost care of a sexy, Italian, red-headed nurse. So, regrettably, I must decline your kind invitation."

Maximilian rolled his eyes as Seher chuckled in response, "Give my love to Beatrice. Take good care of yourself. Tomorrow morning, I'll have some food and kahwa sent over to nurse you back to health. Make sure to drink it."

"Affirmative, boss," Victor responded, followed by a momentary pause before he continued, his tone teasing, "Speaking of boss, Maxim, I wasn't aware that our housing building now falls under Seher's jurisdiction. Imagine my surprise when HR informed me that Justine had been ousted by the new proprietor." Seher's cheeks flushed crimson as she recalled the recent incident, while Maximilian simply chuckled, "Well, sometimes, a firm hand is necessary. It was a spontaneous decision."
