"Lyon! Look! Look!"
Excitedly, you show your best friend your new ability. You made a little butterfly out of ice. Smirking, Lyon creates several butterflies. This makes you frown.
"Why do you always have to rub it in that I'm better than you?"
Patting your head, Lyon says, "So you remember that it's my job to protect you, but I can't do the protecting if you're better than me."
"That doesn't make me feel any better. At least Gray has the decency to be nice."
"That jerk doesn't matter! If I have to, I'll beat him up to prove that!"
"No! Gray's my big brother!"
That's right. You are Y/n Fullbuster, the younger sister of Gray Fullbuster. When you were very little, Delliora destroyed your hometown, and you and your brother were the only survivors. But then, Ur and Lyon found you. They showed you both compassion and took you in.
The only problem you have with Ur is that, just like with the boys, she makes you take your clothes off for training. Of course, it is more like a swimsuit that you wear for modesty purposes, but it is still cold and embarrassing. Especially when Lyon is right then and all that is showing.
"Pfft. So? I'm still cooler. I'm gonna surpass Ur one day."
"But Ur is, like, the strongest ever."
"Well, I'm gonna be stronger someday!"
"No, you're not. That's not possible."
"Yes, it is! Doubting me is the dumbest thing ever!"
"I'm not doubting you, it's just that my money is on Ur. She's been like a mom to me, so naturally I side with her."
"And what about me?"
"You're... I dunno. Best friend?"
"That's... disappointing."
"Oh, well. I'm gonna go training now. Alone, this time. So... stay away."
You run off to train. Quietly, Lyon follows you to watch. He has done this a lot lately, though he does not know why. It is just a new habit.

So many years have flown by. Gray ran off the challenge Delliora, which resulted in Ur dying to protect him. Both you and Lyon were unconscious for a long time, and rely on the information Gray gave you. Though you had two different responses. You sobbed into the arms of your brother, but Lyon angrily yelled, saying that he will never surpass Ur if she is dead. That made something in you snap. You yelled at him that Ur was not just a teacher, but a mother who raised you all. If he could not appreciate all she did, he had no right to call her a teacher. And that was the last time you saw him.
Being a mere child, you did not blame Gray. You comforted his grief and the two of you joined a guild known as Fairy Tail. There, you made friends and felt like you had a family again. You and Gray were accepted in a place you truly belonged. You were happy.
On an S-Class mission you are not even supposed to be on, you find a surprise. Lyon. He is trying to melt the ice covering Delliora, and that terrifies you. That monster is pure evil. The idea of him being unleashes horrified you. Upon seeing you, you find Lyon grinning at you, a sinister look in his eyes.
"Little Y/n," he goes. "Nice to see you again. You've grown into quite the beauty, haven't you?"
Face flushing, you yell back, "What the heck are you doing?!"
