Starting a new school isn't too fun for you. To top it off, it's in another country. You just hope the people there are nicer than your old school. You were bullied for being on the chubby side.
You stepped into your new school Nekoma. You had already gotten your schedule, so you were just trying to find it. As you rounded a corner, you walked into someone and landed on our behind.
You look and saw a guy that resembled a rooster on the ground and one that looked like a cat standing.
The rooster jumped up and helped you up. He apologized and you apologized in return. Then you all took off to your classes.
Throughout the day, you couldn't stop thinking about the cat boy. He was so cute, and you just love cats. You wanted to give him head pats. You shake your head. Why do you have to be so weird?
At lunch, you go to sit with the two friends you managed to make so far. The table you sat at was next to one filled with boys. As you turned you saw the two guys from earlier. The rooster made eye contact and smiled at you. You smile back and nod your head.
Then you saw cat boy just staring at you. You tilt your head in confusion. Why was he staring? Are you really that ugly?
Rooster poked him and that seem to bring him back to reality. You just shook it off.
After the school day was over, you headed to the gym. You needed to join a club so it would look better on your college applications. So, you decided to become the manager of the boys' volleyball team. You liked volleyball. Well, you liked watching it. You didn't play. You don't like to get all sweaty and you weren't really the athletic type.
As you entered a mohawk guy runs up to, "Hey cutie. You lost? I- "
Before he could finish, a giant comes over and bends down to look at you.
He smiles, "You look like a teddy bear. Can I have a hug?"
More guys come over and you become overwhelmed. It was finally broken up by the coach.
The coach approached you, "Sorry about them. Can I help you?"
"Ummm Yes. I was hoping to become the manager."
"Excellent. We could use one."
Mohawk jumps up, "Yes. Now I can tell Noya and Tanaka we have a cute manager too."
You blush.
After that day, you worked hard as the boy's manager. You learned everyone name and gotten really close to rooster, now known as Kuroo, and cat boy, who is named Kenma.
One day, you were talking to Kuroo and how you feel that Kenma is truly a cat.
You laugh, "I'm serious. I bet Kenma can speak cat. I bet you $10 he would meow back."
Kuroo smirks, "You're on."
You walk up to Kenma who was sitting on the bleachers with his game out.
When you approach, Kenma puts his game down. This always shocked everyone. You are the only one he does that for.
You smile at him, "Meow."
"Meow."
Kenma froze. What the heck just happened?
The whole team began to laugh. Even you.
You smile at him, "Meow. Meow."
Kenma, still a little in shock, "Meow."
He frowns, "What's going on?"
You pat his head, "I knew you spoke cat. You are the embodiment of one."
"What? You aren't making sense."
"You look like a cat. You yawn like one. You stretch like one. You just spoke like one. Face it, you are a cat."
He gives you a look of disbelief, "No I'm not."
You smirk, "Meow."
"Meow."
Everyone laughed again.
He stands up, "Stop doing that."
"Doing what my kitty? Meow."
"Meow."
He frowns. Why does he keeps meowing back? And why did her calling him her kitty make him blush?
Kuroo walks up, "Ok. That's enough."
You pat Kenma's head one more time and walk off. That sealed the deal. You were so going to meow at him at random times. And that's just what you did.
It would be at the most random of times. But no matter what he would meow back. After he does, you pet his head and leave.
The head pats are a funny thing. The reason is, after you give him one, the other team members would subtly come and put their head down for one. Which is something Kenma doesn't like. Those are his head pats. But he never says anything.
That was until one day, after practice he asks to speak with you.
You sit down next to him on the bleachers, "I know what you are going to say. But I can't help it. I think it's the cutest thing that you meow back. Then you get the cutest shocked face because you do. I'm sorry. I will try and stop."
He looks at you, "For you, I don't mind."
You blush, "Really?"
"Yeah."
"Then what did you want to talk about?"
"I want you to be my girlfriend."
Your eyes go wide, "WHAT!?"
"I want you to be my girlfriend. What do you say?"
"But....But...Why me? I'm not even pretty and I'm f -"
You were stopped with a kiss. Yes, Kenma kissed you to stop what you were saying.
He pulls back, "So it's settled."
He stands up and grabs your hand. He pulls you with him. You were still in a state of shock.
When you finally were able to say something. You could only let out one thing.
"Meow."
"Meow."
