Chapter: 21 1/2 Arc: 2
The leaves of trees rustled in the wind along with the occasional rumbling of the treehouse from below. Tan charred skin ever so softly grazed by the sunlight would gain forsworn warmth it had craved for a long time. The peacefulness of it all nearly made you forget the strife, the anguish, the pain..but..the creeping feeling of drive kept you from staying still. Stirring in your sleep you felt it all; A sudden flash of imagery rang in your mind: piles of dead bodies from beings unknown to you covered the landscapes, then a image of glowing green eyes as laughter echoed in your mind with green smoke billowing out from its maw, a glimpse of that shadowy beings gaze setting upon your frame, before the final sight of the parasites grinning face as it laughed aloud burst you from your sleep.
Hijìn suddenly coming awake had shot his eyes wide open and grazed his body against the old wet wood, making some of it snap off he jumped back only to see where he was again. The damp worn down treehouse he had fallen asleep in prior rang a comforting yet obtuse sense of inviting flavor. The man's keen nose sniffling up the air gathered a keen sense of cooked meat whisking through the morning air. Suddenly remembering it all again he had jolted back and pressed his back against the wall looking around for Vìrkä. The woman's guise of hatred being the most vivid memory of her slapped into his mind nearly caused him to go primal. It was if he had forgot the conversation they had the night prior..regardless of such..who could forget of such a horrible few cycles.
Senses on a knife's edge, Hijìn glanced down at his left hand to see a spreading parasitic stem grow from his forearm trying to cling to the floor. Rapidly slamming his right hand down on it felt a stabbing pain yank his head back, mouth forming from his flesh and hair behind his ear rang out to him in a rugged tone of annoyance: "Good Morning Doll..I thought you were gonna stay a while~ Guess my feelings were off Huh?!", Man groaning out in pain as the parasites thorns began to course through his brain and cause severe migraines. Each thorn making its careful trek through his cranium to cause just enough pain without killing him finally stopped once it reached its eye. Voice echoing out once more as Hijìn's strained breath and rugged irritation were what truly captivated the parasites interest: "Had to give you a welcoming party..a small..Gift! A gift to wake you up..a shame I couldn't muster up enough energy to go foraging last night, but I'm sure you'll make that up for me in Full No?!"
The man groaning out was suddenly muted by the parasite shutting his esophagus up with a single tendril, man gasping for a breath tried to move his hand to no avail as the two were locked together on the ground. The parasites voice seeming to grow louder as the man tried to breathe as best he can, being only to focus on his pain and the voice ringing out to him saying: "I Told YOU! I was going to kill her- you have no idea what this shall bring..and you LET HER LIVE! Sure my words were said to leave her..but I never meant it literally! You are just as smooth brained as your Father..smooth brained like your ratchet assed blood kin! And no Better than any low life fruit bearing life form on this forbidden rock!" The parasite violently jerking the man's muscle fibers in his neck at the brink of snapping it from such induced force as it went on: "If I had control..if you GAVE IN! NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE HAPPENED! We would've been fine..you'd feed me your future friends..I grew..I took control..we dominate! How is that so difficult to bear..and now the one person with a burning sensation so powerful it walking amongst us. Hijìn you coward..you failure..YOU WRETCH! If only They didn't spare you in that desert!? Who would've known what would've happened." The parasite getting cutoff as someone came into the same room as they retracted their tendrils and tried to conserve energy.
Heavy footsteps moving into the room as the wood beneath their feet groaned from the pressure, Vìrkä had entered the room and closed the door behind herself. Wearing new pants and a white button up blouse, her face seeming worn from exhaustion could merely skim around the room as she held something in hand. Hijìn coveting himself in the corner didn't want to catch her eye again as he still felt fairly weak, but due to his large size she was able to see most of his head behind a table and approached him. Her footsteps growing nearer he would look around frantically, clenching at anything to potentially defend himself he was fully out of options, merely clenching his hands into claws and hoping she waned. She stopped, he could sense her being near due to his limited perspective, skimming his surroundings hoping she didn't see him accounted for all until he turned left away from the table.
